Wednesday 's blessings

All our patatoes are dug and put away and we had a great bunch of help today. Dave got the skirting on th eoffice done and a start on the holding area for the horses. Barry and Cale finished the siding on the shed and we got left over dressing and all the rest of thanks giving meal for lunch. All is well!!!
Elisa and the kids had a great time on the bales as they watched the horse in the pasture.
Wednesday Prayer
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a
listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all
of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our
lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! We need to embrace all equally!
God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time
right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He
can. Keep the faith. Give God a chance. Or you have been blessed abundantly and understand that it is all in God's hands and He knows our hearts just the way they really are.
Here is our prayer for you:
Father, I ask You to bless or continue to bless our friends and relatives
reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and
power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very
moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there
is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless
their homes, families, ministries, finances, and their goings and their comings. In
Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Get up and catch up

How often do we sit down and pray to invite God into our midst when in reality He is way out ahead of us and most of us are so far behind we think we are ahead. We should be praying Lord can you please wait while I stop being so lazy and while I find another excuse not to catch up with you again today.

What a great way to get up each morning with an attitude of I gotta get a move on here cause Jesus has been out saving, healing, watching over, providing for, delivering, lighting their way, lifting their spirits, bringing hope to weary souls and that was all before I even got out of bed. Wooh do I need to get moving to catch up to that action. First get under a good soaking and being immersed in the word then a hearty meal of holy bread and then out the door fired up on THS fuel now with a small miracle I should be caught up to my friend and mentor in a few blessings to some one in need of His love. Hey there's my first chance, sweetheart!!!!!!

John 20:1-9 – The Empty Tomb.

  • Mary approached Jesus’ tomb to find He is not there.
  • So she get’s two of the disciples and they run to the tomb to find our for themselves what has happened.
  • When they get there they begin to realize that Jesus has risen.
  • The Bible stated that the disciples did not understand from Scripture that Jesus would rise from the dead.
  • In one commentary it gives two particular scriptures from the Old Testament that it says prophecy Jesus will rise from the dead, almost as though the disciples should have realized.
  • Looking at them – I don’t think I would have realized either – they both seem pretty tenuous at best.
  • They are Isaiah 53:9-12 and Psalm 16:10.
  • The second one seems a little more obvious but even then it could mean a number of things..
  • The fact is this; we are always catching up to God.
  • He is always doing things to surprise us and to think that we can understand everything up front is a little foolish.
  • I love what Simeon Peter does.
  • Whilst the other disciple stands at the edge of the tomb, Peter explores.
  • We need more explorers.
  • The first disciple seems a little nervous, as though he is waiting for it to be deemed ‘safe’. So many are on the edge of God’s intentions. Waiting for things to someone else to declare it is safe rather than searching things out themselves.
  • I want to be an explorer and to do that I need to recognize that God is always going to have a few tricks up His sleeve and some shocking ideas.
  • I don’t want to stand on the edge – I want to be the first to go in and find out what He is up to.
  • Don’t you?

Drive by blessings

Many thanks to our church family that continue to bless the ranch in every way possible. While we are a way often and yet our family stands by us and like yesterday and today couples arrive that we haven't met yet and are new to our church coming out to see were they can fit in to this incredible plan of God's for His people. Today our truck was broke down and along comes Chris and in no time at all the starter is removed repairs are made and we are back up and running. Our young friend from Saskatoon stands in amazement and can only say, is this the way it goes every day.

During our lunch break and as we prayed and discussed several situations that had to be dealt with I asked everyone all four to share were they would like their lives to be in five years. They shared all kinds of dreams and hopes nothing unusual. I then challenged them to come and see me in five years and to tell me about were their lives have come to. I guaranteed them that with out God and Jesus as Lord of their lives very little would change for them from now to then, but that with and if Jesus was in control they would be blessed as the ranch is with an abundant life.

THIS WEEKS PRAYER NEED---------------THIS WEEKS GREATEST NEED
We are nearing the stage of interior finishing and we need 14,000 sq. ft. of interior pine and cedar to finish the entire inside of the three levels of the lodge. If you know of anyone that deals with pine or cedar and we can tell them about the ranch and see if they can help us thank you.

Amazing just amazing

Great meeting with Corlac and Universal industries as they have assured us that they will do what ever they can to assist us in developing the Battle river Ranch Camp.

1 Chronicles 28:20
Be Strong and of good courage.

In 1955 Rosa Parks was arrested in Alabama for refusing to give her seat on the bus to a white man. Boycotts and bloodshed followed until the US supreme court ruled segregation unconstitutional. Later Rosa wrote, Knowing what must be done does away with fea. When I sat down in that bus that day, I had no idea that history was being made and it was all a part of God's plan, I was only thinking about getting home. But I had to make up my mind. After many years of being a victim, not giving up my seat, and what ever I had to face afterwards, wasn't important. I felt the Lord would give me the strength to endure what ever I had to face. It was time for someone to stand up - or in my case sit down. Courage is displayed at unexpected moments, what you do in such moments can change you and those around you.

The story is told of a spy who was sentenced to death by a general in the Persian army. The general had strange custom of giving condemned criminals a choice between the firing squad and "The Big Door", When the general asked what will it be? the spy chose the firing squad. Turning to his aide "they always prefer the known to the unknown, yet we gave them a choice. The aide later asked "What lies beyond the big door" the general replied, FREEDOM. Then he added Few are brave enough to take the door. The dividing line between mediocrity and success is courage. That's why David told his son Solomon upon ascending the throne, Be strong and of good courage.

When men and women are given the opportunities and allowed to discover their: Gifts, passions and purposes the result is a fulfilled life.
If this is not allowed to happen they will in most cases seek after false fulfilment for the rest of their lives.

Individuals that have the skills and confidence needed will always be excited move up to the next level.

Mission Fest Results

Years ago we were doing a big renovation to a beautiful character home e were living in back in Kindersley. If you are ever in the area it is located on 4th ave. east not hard to find as it is one of the last character homes left in Kindersley. This home was built by the bank of commerce back in 1909 and was built to last.
We decided to turn the open joist attic into a upper level living area complete with a large master bedroom landing and sitting area, nursery and large bathroom. Sort of a dream home with character from one end to the other top to bottom, including a Saturn space rocket as a hanging bed for the boys. We loved our home inside and out with a large tree house and a sand box that covered a third of the back yard.
Any way back to the renovation, I went into city hall and sat down with Joe engineer a friend of ours and set down our plans and time table as to our renovation. All looks great said Joe and we could start as soon as we were able. I then asked Joe what kind of permit I needed to purchase and Joe informed me that as long as I do not touch the foundation no permit was needed to do this renovation.
Well in the next weeks to follow and window removed from the upper level old fir planks were hurled out on to the front lawn to be piled and reused.
Now as we continued for the next few weeks we also had a lot of onlookers as the old character home was getting a face lift and some improvements. Several of our tourist asked us were is your building permit and we advised them nicely that we did not need one and not giving it another though we kept on with our renovation and it was looking really good. One morning we recieved a call from city hall that our friend Joe engineer needed to talk to us. So off I went to meet Joe in his office. He asked how the project was going and then said that I had better take out a permit on the renovation but that if was going to be free and to staple it out front on the house. I asked Joe why I needed the permit and he explained that it would be the only way to shut up the gossipers. No worry he said you are doing every thing right but some people have to gossip to be feel complete. So we put up the permit and all were happy ever after or not. GO FIGURE!!!!!!!

A true friend is a person for whom we would gladly sacrafice our own self interest. The vast majority of what people call friends are just good acquaintences. True friends are rare and far between, but once found are there for life.

The biker moto;
We are warriors and this is our song...
Winning the lost at any cost, reaching our world one heart at a time.
Matt 28:19-20 If you listen to the song, you'll know why we reach the unreached, teach,The untaught and Love the unloved... May we be guided by the Holy Spirit in every aspect of our ministry!!!
It's the word of God we stand on not the words of man
It's the highways and the byways were the lost are found
So please pray for our safety and to carry the hope
That were ever we ride, light in darkness may abound.

The Battle River Ranch Camp is a one of a kind entry level faith based, trades and life skills opportunity facility. Offering an option to anyone that has been searching for an opportunity and is serious about finding out their area of strength and work place career possibilities.

Out hope and prayer is to let as many of you know about the ranch as possible so that the hope it will bring, the lives it will change and the encouragement it will provide, can start as soon as possible.

The ranch will be a one of a kind facility and will offer an option to many like no other. When God has a plan and like our friends Mike and Pastor Lyle wisely told us just keep your focus and don't let the distractions pull you away from God's purpose.

Sunday and where were You

After a great church service and message from pastor Lyle this morning we had a lunch with friends from Moose Jaw that spent the weekend helping out at the ranch and blessing us in every way. Then off to visit a family that we have come to know and thier western farm, wow what hospitality and warmth we certainly gleaned and grew from this time spent with new friends.

Saturday work day was also an incredible blessing as so many from our church showed up to help and even more have committed to be more regular supporters. Everyone is welcome monday as we continue to finish the upper level sheeting.

Stuart has plans and hopes of finishing the horse shelter in the near future as we now have been blessed with the materials to do so.

Tire craft helped us out with a set of tires for the suburban and they are one meaty set of boots.
We were asked this week if we could use this cat and we are over whelmed at the equipment available, but I'm sure I've read that God owns the equipment on a thousand job sites and if he need some he lines it up and we are blessed by it.

Each of us have such potential and opportunities, but to be able to move on and ignore those that are offended and uncomfortable because of how God uses us isn't easy because we love them and need to spend a lot of time praying for them. George came into our ministry some years back and after nearly six months of working hard and staying away from drugs and alcohal he was eager to share with his family about his new life in Christ and all he was learning away from the negative influences. We warned him to be careful and he was sure that all would be fine. Well we never seen George again and did hear that he was drawn back into the old life style by those he trusted and those that did not want to see him do better than them. Life is like that every where it seems if your in a rut everyone should be in a rut with you. How sad that this is the culture in a prosperous society where God has and continues to provide the potential for each of us to be used to bring hope to many, but not always with out a lot of hard work.
