Thursday the day of change

We have been so blessed over and over again today we get to remove lights from the old Nelson Lumber building, lights that will hopefully work for the new shop. Peggy and Dawn graciously done the hard work of removing and hauling home all the lights in a very professional manner.

Diane and I are off today to Hanna were Archie Kittler has built the first portion of our concrete plant.

RSC rental store helps us out with our rental needs and we are so thankful to them for all they do.

Our trip to Hanna took us by the camp of camps Veteran Bible Camp a camp that has never had an admission charge.

Diane and I had a great evening with Archie and Jerry and after we were all loaded and off by 9:00 pm we ran out of Diesel and had to grab aroom for the night, not a real bad thing we were very tired and the Lord must have known that we needed to stop as it was after 11:00 pm.

So much is happening these days you have to make a trip out to the ranch and see for your selves.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog.The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center. Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can. This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation. Wednesday what a day who would have guessed

It was a great start to a busy day we had a lot of trench to dig a watering trough to move and flashing to finish on the top of the shop. Our devotions seemed more intense this morning and direct. We were blessed as Glenda came over for a visit and felt we needed to spend a few minutes and pray about the appeal and the safety of us all. Then off to work the trenching was not going well it seemed the sandy banks were not going to stand at all and this was going to be a long haul. Dave and I worked till about 12:30 then stopped for a bite to eat as James took on the job of preparing the lunch for us fresh potatoes, onions, beans and burgers we were blessed. I had finished my meal and was about tot head back up to the backhoe and I got the call. The voice on the other end of the line was that of my beautiful Diane and she could hardly get the words out as she read the letter from the county, that the appeal was denied and that the county had blessed us with all our permitts and that we were able now to move ahead with this project that only God Himself could have ordained for all this to come about. The most exciting thing is to watch as those that come along side to help with the ranch are being so blessed.

Wednesday Prayer

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a

listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all

of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our

lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! We need to embrace all equally!

God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time

right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He

can. Keep the faith. Give God a chance. Or you have been blessed abundantly and understand that it is all in God's hands and He knows our hearts just the way they really are.

Here is our prayer for you:

Father, I ask You to bless or continue to bless our friends and relatives

reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and

power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very

moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there

is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless

their homes, families, ministries, finances, and their goings and their comings. In

Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Tuesday

Our day started out with a lot of rain and so we spent a bit of extra time at our morning devotions. Dave always has such great input and James can always come up with a great challenge to get us all thinking. Today we were talking about crossing the line or stepping across the line into someone else's world, being willing to give a little or to be willing to try to understand the person across the line from you you. Well James grab the bible and set it between us and said there now there should be no more line. WOW go figure and how true.

After several attempts at trying to get the big generator going properly we called in the pro Darryll Wills. We no sooner called him and he was on the road out to the ranch and with in a short time he had all working perfect. We then blessed him with a fine lunch of wieners and beans and good ranch coffee.

Dave and I got a start on the water main, we have a lot of sand to deal with so we need to be very careful as we move along.

James got the walk in doors in place and other than a few parts we should have them done soon.

One of the realities facing missions and ministries today is the increasing need for everyone to recognize the importance of each ones involvment. Global workers who serve in restricted access nations are willing to go into scenarios that require great risk; they've been called and they've responded with a "yes". However, their yes won't amount to anything unless others gather around them and send the support needed to move the ministry ahead in building the kingdom of God.

I think we can downplay the calling of being a "supporter"; it doesn't seem exciting, it seems like all we're doing is giving money and saying the occasional prayer. Friend, let me challenge you to see yourself as part of a greater TEAM; part of the kingdom initiative of reaching the lost wherever they are. When you support a global worker you DIRECTLY participate in the activity of mission around the world, but we can never forget that there is a great need here right at home also.

Look around you and recognize the value of the collective; How Together Everyone Accomplishes More and the ranch that will be the first of it's kind will be completed.

Our financial and prayer partners are a blessing to us, each and every day and we wanted to be sure to let you know just how much we appreciate you. We believe that partnership goes both ways. We pray for our partners daily, and would appreciate the opportunity to agree with you in prayer for your needs more specifically. And we pray for blessing in your lives, as you follow the example of Isaac who sowed in the midst of a famine. The result for him was that he received a hundred-fold return in that same year of famine (Genesis 26:1,12). We pray that same blessing for you, that God will show His abundance to you in every area of your lives and that you will reap a great harvest in Jesus name Amen.

Monday the start to a great week of more miracles

Monday a day off and we head home from a great weekend and can't wait for next year. Toady is Peg's birthday so we will take our time getting home via Wainwright and the birthday party at Tim Hortons were else.

This week we have a lot to get finished at the ranch and get ready for. We have to go to Hanna and pick up the concrete plant. Get the fence and water ready for the horses and try to get the water main down to the main buildings.

Sunday Son

Sunday the weather remained absolutely wonderful and we had some more great music and messages.

The only thing about the weekend that was a bit tough was all the mosquitoes as they did a great job of feasting on each and every one of us.

This weekend was a time of resting and seeking the Lords revival in our lives and He blessed each and every one of us with that. I know for myself I have a God ordained job to do and I need to not let anything distract me from that purpose. No matter what comes our way Diane and I are and will press on as God's workers till the job is complete or He changes the plans. Please continue to pray for the results from the county from the appeal, thank you very much.

Saturday Sonshine

Saturday and a full slate of activities for every one no matter the age. Every thing from Hay stack Olympics to greased pig wrestling. The band from Ireland.

The music was great again today along with all the activities and all the opportunities to share about the ranch and the many more groups and churches wanting to get involved from Cold Lake to Wainwright a lot of interest and encouragement.

We have so many people that are praying that all goes well and we have favour with the county and those in authority. Also that we can bless our neighbors as we join them as an asset to the community.

We also ran into a lot of old friends and we all had a lot of fun as we had time to do a bit of visiting we don't usually get to do.

Saturday's Prayer

When the world try to drag me down and the angry waves of life go over my head, I turn to you, my Lord. You are my rock, my place of refuge and my hope. Never leave me alone in the battle. Protect me from my weakness, free me from my fears and give me strength to carry on. Amen.

Friday and away we go

PS - No computer connection at ball park in Chauvin sorry but I will get caught up. Great stuff is happening P.T.L.

We only need a few adjustments and we will be operating on natural gas power as our source of electricity. With the solid concrete pad poured last week by all the volunteers that blessed us with their help and the generator now in place everything is ready to go.

Today we will be off to Chauvin to help as volunteers with the out door conference that they host each year and God blesses as He pours His love and anointing on the whole week end.

We are very blessed as they have come on board as supporters of the Battle River Ranch Camp and have blessed us over and over again.

The music this evening was great and always fun getting to know everyone and were they are from. Peggy and Larry have blessed us with their company as they also have chosen to serve at the Middle of No Where Conference. Barry and Bridgett have blessed us with their camper so we will definitely be living in comfort.

Blaine and Joey are off to help a friend in Moose Jaw an will have to miss this year but next year they too will be here.
