Saturday

The Saturday workday was absolutely incredible today we had so many people out and so much got accomplished.  It started out as I got to the ranch early and was met at he gate by none other than Wade Rutherford Brock's dad.  He was delivering an organ and a chair from our friend Geraldine from Unity, what a blessing.  I then got everything going coffee and all we did our devotions and I headed back to Lloyd for a speaking engagement that Diane and I have been blessed to speak at.  It was the Aglow international gathering at the Salvation Army Church.   I then made it back out to the ranch in time for a great lunch that Cheryl Friesen had prepared for every one, wow and what a blessing it was, we all ate till we couldn't hardly move. Diane and Karen arrived a bit later to help with the sand leveling in the shop.    We got the sand leveled in the shop with a lot of help more ditches filled and the new fence is complete.

The concrete hopper is done thanks to Dustin Fehr who said he would come back and finish up the stand supports this week in the evenings.

Blaine found a new way to add weight to the packed and get a free ride to boot.  Great to see Stuart Barber, Jessie Hayward, Barry Spurrel and so many more out to help us get er done.

We need 2 - 16' x 16' over head doors and some one to install them as soon as possible, if you know or are the one who can help us with this please let us know Cel I mean who ever can help us with please let us know were to start or who to talk to.

The pumphouse shed is almost done also which will be nice before winter. 

Simon and Karen Wells from Caronport also blessed us as they came and helped us out at the ranch with what ever needed t be done.

All in all we had agreat day of blessings and wish you could have been there.

Saturday's Prayer

When the world tries to drag us down and the angry waves of life go over our heads, We need to turn to you, our Lord and Savior. You are the rock, our place of refuge and our only hope. We pray that you never leave us alone in the battle. Protect us from our weakness and fears, free each and every one us from our fears and give us the strength to carry on. Amen.

Friday's Frenzy

Wow another day of being on the receiving end of more miracles.  God has poured so much out to all of us we just need to bless those that God shows us to bless.  I believe that when we as Gods people come out of their insecure shell and totally put our lives into the hands of God and realize that being a good steward is much more about how we bless than how large we accumulate an empire to impress the world we'll see such abundance and the flow of blessing will be what God wants of His children.  We can never out give God.  

We all were blessed by another meal from Dale and Erica Wills today as they prepared ham, scalloped  and fresh vegatables. Then to top it all off we had fresh apple and blue berry pies with ice cream.

This morning bright and early Jon with action towing arrived with the pay loader from Emile and we helped him unload and James was off and at her as we had lots of work to do with it.

We were told that Coltrane Industries was coming next Tuesday to install the roof on the shop so we need to get the area around the shop as level as possible for them to work and because we just finished digging in the water and sewer we have a real mess to clean up.  We ll about 11:30 coltrane pulled into the yard with one of their picker trucks and a trailer load of equipment and said they will show up Monday instead of Tuesday and start on the roof P.T.L.

That's great but how do we get all the leveling done by Monday and be ready for them?  I even though maybe I will have to work Sunday to make sure it all get's done.  Well Dave, James and I are working away when we see Jon coming down the highway and then he turns into the ranch property and behind him he is hauling one big yellow cat, I think it was the first time James almost started to cry when he saw that.  Once we got the cat unloaded Jon gave James a few tips and lessons on the operation and boy oh boy can that thing move dirt.  Thank you to Paul Klassen and PWM steel for letting us use the Cat.

FRIDAY'S PRAYER

O Dear Lord,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Thursday the day of change

Today was so filled with the blessing of God and His miracles I'm not sure were to start. First of all we have a lot of equipment that needs a lot of fuel well we are a bit short on cash so we need fuel. Well this morning some one helped us get fuel to keep going. When we arrive at the ranch there are three men walking along the west side of the property so I head on up to talk with them and find out that some one is supplying and having a new fence installed for the ranch.

Tomorrow Dale and Erica Wills will once again be bringing us a meal out to the ranch and we know that that will be great.

All the food for the fund raiser has been donated and Diamond seven will prepare the pork for the supper.

Miracles so many to be used but we hold on to them like they are ours, but they aren't. They are for some one else and chances are you know who they are for. Go ahead let a small one go and watch what happens, it may hurt a bit but the more we do it the less painful it is. Soon we will be in the middle of a miracle of our own and that's what God wants for you.

Oner of the greatest miracles of the ranch is the hours that Dave spends on the track hoe and the great job he's doing. Dave has come a long way since he landed on our door step, he's a great mentor and friend to every one that works and visits the ranch. Dave will be the first to let you know that his life was a mess but God and only God can and will use others to do a miracle in your life, if you'll just let go of the garbage from the past and learn to love on those you never thought possible to love. Come on out and meet Dave he's the type of Man of God that will make time for you. Thank you Donna Lynn for sharing Dave with all of us at the ranch.

Thursday Prayer

Heavenly Father we love and worship you. We glorify your mighty name above all names. Everytime we pray to you Lord we feel such a humble love. A deep gratitude for all that you have done in making the Battle River Ranch a reality.
Lord being our precious Savior You healed the lepers, the blind and the lame. We know that You can heal our hurts and sorrows. You are the same yesturday, today and forever. Your Word says that in Hebrews 13:8. Your desire is for all of your children to accept Salvation and join you in Heaven. We know that You desire none of us to suffer an eternity without You. This is your desire and it is your will. Your Word says it!
Lord we know that you allow things to come into our lives for a reason. The greatest of which is to save souls for your kingdom. By your name Lord Jesus Christ and by Your authority please bind Satan and cast him away.
Lord we ask you by your blood and saving grace, to touch mightly this situation and bring about Your healing and Salvation. Lord our hearts cry out to you. We need your love and understanding, as we go through these hurts, trials and challenges. Please surround all of us including all our nieghbours with Your beautiful angels bringing us peace, comfort, protection and wisdom.
Please help all of us to see through your eyes with a solid strength of faith. Help us to walk in the Holy Spirit power of faith. A faith like we have never had before. Thank you sweet Jesus and in your name. Amen

Please know that we just said this prayer with you, even though you can't see us in person. Our prayer "is" joined with yours. We believe that the Lord honors prayers and that He will honor this one. He knows your heart, and He knows ours right now. We prayed this prayer for you with all of the faith that we have. It is a "real prayer" and it has been said with our full "real amount of faith."

Please rest easy now and try walking through this whole situation with the "eyes of Jesus in faith." It doesn't matter what your fleshly eyes see or how you are feeling. Faith goes much more beyond that. Faith sees things having happened already even though it hasn't. Look down the road a few years from now and see the good to come. Now keep that good vision in your mind and believe strongly, trusting in the Lord. Hold your head up and walk believing and knowing that God is with you and that you are "not" alone. God bless you. AMEN

Wednesday

Plumbing inside and out side the shop is continuing at an excellent pace. We are so thankful to the qualified staff of Guardian Plumbing and Heating and the top notch workmanship they do. When ever a long drainage line like this one is installed there is the fear of a break or separated line so James did a ball test but instead of a ball down the sewer line he sent a glass Christmas ornament cause that is all he could find, well we waited and we waited but no ball came out, so we ran some water but still no ball. Hmmmm now what.

Oh ya miracles well I believe that God has blessed us all each and every one of us with a swack load of miracles more than we seem to ever know what to do with. What I mean by that is as I watch the daily miracles as they happen out at the ranch I've come to realize that if we do not realize or appreciate the small tinny miracles that we have each and every day than no amount of winning and felling oooh poor me will ever get us any farther ahead. The way I see it the miracles and the blessings that God has blessed each and every one of us with are not for us, not one single one of them. I figure that every one of them are for some one else and we just won't let go of them cause most of us think if I can't have them no one gets them. Nothing we have is ours it's all God's right, we are just blessed to be the ones to bless others with them WOW what a faith walk but it's the only way I can see it can or will ever work. You may say that to be a good stewart I can't just give it all away, fine but God is watching over us.

Wednesday Prayer

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a

listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all

of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our

lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! We need to embrace all equally!

God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time

right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He

can. Keep the faith. Give God a chance. Or you have been blessed abundantly and understand that it is all in God's hands and He knows our hearts just the way they really are.

Here is our prayer for you:

Father, I ask You to bless or continue to bless our friends and relatives

reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and

power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very

moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there

is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless

their homes, families, ministries, finances, and their goings and their comings. In

Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Tuesday

I almost quit writing the blog today.  Our days are long and hard and the last thing I need at the end of a hard day is to spend 2 hours to write about some silly ranch being built to make life a lot better for more people than we will ever imagine.  But then get a message from a single mom about the difference the blog makes in the life of her child as she daily absorbs the Battle River Ranch Blog.  Or a grandmother that sent a message today about how she is waiting for surgery and she daily enjoys the blog as it is such an encouragement to her.  Many years ago she baby sat our oldest kids and she sees them today and how they are doing.

 We have 3 weeks to have our building ready for the annual fundraiser, that will be out at the ranch this year.  This to many seems like the most impossible thing to do and what's the use even trying, why not just get somewhere to hold the event.  Well we cannot afford another place, so we need to trust that God will deliver our building completed for the Oct. 2 event. Today we still have no roof on the building and no concrete or electricity, this to many of you may be an impossible feat but we do serve an awesome God. 

By the end of today we have received conformation that Joe Stang will put the roof on next Tuesday and wednesday P.T.L.

Water and sewer lines are 75% complete and backfilling continues.

Our grandson Jacob headed out for his first day at kindergarten, always a bit emotional and very special we are so proud of him.  Please pray for his parents to adjust quickly.

Miracles are from God, luck is just plain luck and no more.  I believe I've got a bit of an understanding about these miracles so check tomorrows blog and tell me if I'm wrong.

One of the realities facing missions and ministries today is the increasing need for everyone to recognize the importance of each ones involvment. Global workers who serve in restricted access nations are willing to go into scenarios that require great risk; they've been called and they've responded with a "yes". However, their yes won't amount to anything unless others gather around them and send the support needed to move the ministry ahead in building the kingdom of God. I think we can downplay the calling of being a "supporter"; it doesn't seem exciting, it seems like all we're doing is giving money and saying the occasional prayer. Friend, let me challenge you to see yourself as part of a greater TEAM; part of the kingdom initiative of reaching the lost wherever they are. When you support a global worker you DIRECTLY participate in the activity of mission around the world, but we can never forget that there is a great need here right at home also. Look around you and recognize the value of the collective; How Together Everyone Accomplishes More and the ranch that will be the first of it's kind will be completed.

Our financial and prayer partners are a blessing to us, each and every day and we wanted to be sure to let you know just how much we appreciate you. We believe that partnership goes both ways. We pray for our partners daily, and would appreciate the opportunity to agree with you in prayer for your needs more specifically. And we pray for blessing in your lives, as you follow the example of Isaac who sowed in the midst of a famine. The result for him was that he received a hundred-fold return in that same year of famine (Genesis 26:1,12). We pray that same blessing for you, that God will show His abundance to you in every area of your lives and that you will reap a great harvest in Jesus name Amen.
