Thanks so much to Bruce our chairman of the Battle River Ranch Camp as he chaired another inspiring board meeting this evening to move us ahead with purpose and commitment to bring a place of hope to our community.

Greg Peterson gave us the low down on the plan of building RTM homes on the site to teach construction skills.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray and intercede for our country and it's leader, the Prime Minister (Stephan Harper) the premiers and every office large or small. We ask that they become sympathetic to the cause of the gospel and favour the promotion of righteousness. Wisdom and might are yours Lord. You remove and set up kings, by You princes rule, even all the judges and governors of the earth. To you are known the deep and secret things and what is in the darkness, for light dwells with You. Father, we ask You to change all those things that would do harm to the people of this country. Change the heart of those leaders who would go against the gospel and your people, but those that rebel and harden themselves against your council, may they cover themselves with their own confusion as with a mantle. Let them fall by their own councils, cast them out and replace them with others that would favour righteousness.

Wednesday 's blessings

Really nice trip today to Kindersley our old home town of 21 years. We attended the funeral of Diane's aunt and so we met with a lot of relatives and friends. Diane's aunt helped us so much when we first were married and starting our married life. There was never a time we visited or I had to fix her furnace or plumbing that the pie and tea were not ready. As the pastor shared she always blessed with a heart full of love for everyone.

We as always got to share about the ranch, to many that have heard, and asked questions. We also stopped in at several businesses owned by friends and left info packs for each of them. As our pastor said to us " keep you focus on the vision and to watch out for distractions that will attempt to discourage you" boy was he right.

God uses each of us in ways that are so incredible and each day we see how He planned it all a long time ago. We have been so blessed with many friends that have always encouraged us to press on. As we share the many miracles that happen daily to bring the ranch to where it is today, there are those that say they have never herd of such a thing, that people would help so much and in so many ways. that's when we the door opens to share of the God that loves each of us so much.

As Diane spent time speaking with the United church pastor after the funeral and finding out that she is married to a friend of ours from Young and that they would like more info about the ranch.

A lumber yard that is closing down and moving that is thinking about sending a load of lumber to the ranch. God bless them.

James and Mark spent the day at the ranch putting up vapour barrier and prepping the upper level for the insulators. Thanks so much Mark for always being there for us in so many ways.

In a earlier blog we mentioned that we need bell wire for the door bells in the lodge, and this evening after we got home Bill stopped in and blessed us with exactly what we needed to do the job. Had some one say your really lucky that so many seem to help you. But we at the ranch know that God prepares great people that would like to help and when they see an opportunity to bless in a way they are able it happens. Go figure!!!!!

One day an ox said to the mule, "Let's pretend to be sick." The mule said, No, we need to get this work done that has been put before us. "The ox feigned to be sick." and the farmer believed him and brought him fresh hay. When the mule came in from ploughing, the ox asked how things went and the mule said, All right. The ox asked " What did the farmer say about me? The mule replied nothing," the next day the ox pretended to be ill again. When the mule came home the ox asked, "How did it go? The mule said alright, and the ox felt that there would soon be a better and easier job for him, so he would just wait on the master. After a week of this, the ox asked, Did the farmer say anything about me today? The mule replied, Well he said nothing to me personally, but he stopped and had a long talk with the butcher!
Understand this we were born to fulfill a divine purpose and when we accept Jesus as our Lord and saviour we also accept that important responsibility seriously, and when you don't there are consequences, both here and in eternity. Paul focused on his calling and was able to say "I have finished the race 2Tim 4:7. Notice Paul didn't sit around and do nothing expecting others to take care of him and waiting on a purpose that he felt suited him best, but as a man of God he never disappointed his master or wondered what he was supposed to be doing or where or when his calling would come. Don't kid yourself we will all answer for our selfishness and lack of will to do all and everything to the glory of God. So if we chose apathy in our lives, don't be surprised that the doors will stop opening and the the butcher may be consulted.

Tuesday and so terrific

Louise and her family stopped in from Kindersley and blessed us with a big turkey for the ranch and said they may have a few items for the spring action.PTL. Thank you so much as so many from Kindersley have chosen to support the ranch project.

Mark helped again today and we have a good start on sealing the roof for the insulators on monday.

James F. finished installing the basement windows, and James S. is almost done with the electrical. We do need a roll of bell wire for the door bells if you have such an item and would consider donating it we would be ever so thankful.

Reg drove out from Regina with a whole load of oats for the horses and a whole load of encouragement.

Chance and Denny our good friends and thier family had supper with us this evening and we had an evening of getting caught up and fellowship. time.When we get the concrete for the lodge basement Chance will do the finishing work.

Semi Trucks - Awesome Working and pleasure possibilities

Semi trucks are the trucks with amazing and awesome workings and potentials as they are the most demanding trucks of the industries. Almost all types of freights are carried on by this type of trucks and there are numerous types and models of this type!! Also these semi trucks are having the better space for any of the sizes of goods and services and now we are going to present you with an outstanding opportunity to get away for some incredible R&R

Highway passenger coaches are also more and more becoming a way to get away in comfort and safety. Coaches that have been remodelled for maximum comfort and enjoyment.

Well here's our idea from the team at the Battle River Ranch camp to you.

If we were able to set up a semi tractor and dry van with the needed security and tie downs to allow 20 motor cycles to be secured and stored for transport to a southern location such as Arizona or any of many such location. Then travel by motor coach along with the truck the 30 hour trip to our destination. Then spend five days riding the highways of southern USA as a group or individual riders. Then regroup five days later for our return trip back to Canada. We figure the all inclusive except motor cycle fuel and spending money would be very reasonable and most certainly exciting and enjoyable. Please we would like to hear your thoughts on this and what you think would be a reasonable individual cost for a trip such as this. This is open to everyone that has an interest in riding, fun, great fellowship and supporting the ranch and the vision to build hope and training into lives.

Details to follow as they become available and to our best present and collective information and wisdom how does $ 1250.00 per rider sound. Our hope is to make this affordable and yet raise funds for the ranch.

This price is based on the fact of getting a coach donated and a tractor unit for the purpose of raising funds for the ranch. We do have a a few contacts that may be willing to support us. All in all lets keep praying and see what doors God continues to open. This most likely is impossible for this year but never impossible. We have a few more possibilties that could make this happen so who knows. If any of you have ideas they are more than welcome.

Sunday So Blessed and so thankful

As we shared in Marwayne today more and more contacts that we never would have expected arrived. God is so good and His provision is more than what we need most times but our impatience is the factor that prevents us from waiting on Him and His goodness.

More poles will be delivered as we begin to plan the ranch barn project.

Don't forget we have a few really nice puppies for sale and will be ready for Christmas delivery.

The ranch project continues to be blessed as each day as our needs are met and materials continue to be delivered.

What is the greatest issue that hinders the hand of God from blessing His creation in these modern and prosperous days, was a question asked the other day. Hmmm

A Miracle

Sally was only eight years old when she heard Mommy and Daddy talking about her little brother, Georgi. He was very sick and they had done everything they could afford to save his life. Only a very expensive surgery could help him now . . . and that was out of the financial question. She heard Daddy say it with a whispered desperation, "Only a miracle can save him now."

Sally went to her bedroom and pulled her piggy bank from its hiding place in the closet. She shook all the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three times. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. Tying the coins up in a cold-weather-kerchief, she slipped out of the apartment and made her way to the corner drug store.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her attention . . but he was too busy talking to another man to be bothered by an eight-year-old. Sally twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. She cleared her throat. No good. Finally she took a quarter from its hiding place and banged it on the glass counter. That did it! "And what do you want?" the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. "I'm talking to my brother."

"Well, I want to talk to you about my brother," Sally answered back in the same annoyed tone. "He's sick . . . and I want to buy a miracle."

"I beg your pardon," said the pharmacist.

"My Daddy says only a miracle can save him now . . . so how much does a miracle cost?"

"We don't sell miracles here, little girl. I can't help you."

"Listen, I have the money to pay for it. Just tell me how much it costs."

The well-dressed man stooped down and asked, "What kind of a miracle does you brother need?"

"I don't know," Sally answered. A tear started down her cheek. "I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my folks can't pay for it . . . so I have my money."

"How much do you have?" asked the well-dressed man.

"A dollar and eleven cents," Sally answered proudly. "And it's all the money I have in the world."

"Well, what a coincidence," smiled the well-dressed man. "A dollar and eleven cents . . . the exact price of a miracle to save a little brother." He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said "Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents."

That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, renowned surgeon. . specializing in solving Georgi's malady. The operation was completed without charge and it wasn't long until Georgi was home again and doing well.

Mommy and Daddy were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place. "That surgery," Mommy whispered. "It's like a miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?"

Sally smiled to herself. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost... one dollar and eleven cents... plus the faith of a little child.

¹The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

²He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

³He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

⁴Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
