Home land security

As we hit the plains of the prairies and say goodbye once again to the majestic Rockies and the many friends that call them home it's sad to say goodby but that straight highway ahead beckons us home. Diane will be able to read more than a paragraph before feeling like she has to throw up.

After spending the night with Charlie and Marrian we have two meetings in downtown Calgary then off to Regina. It never seems to amaze us at the beauti of downtown Calgary. The corner that we lived on back in 1974 today now stands a sky scrapper tall and so incredibly built.

Well after 8 hours of rolling prairies we are pulling into Ross and Lauries driveway, Sandy gave us permission to use their room and we are ready for a good and blessed evening of sharing and fellowship, than some shut eye.

Please pray for our son James as he has had an allergic reaction to a product he was working with and for Diane's family at her uncles memorial service today in Regina.

WHAT A BLESSING TO BE OVER RUN WITH VOLUNTEERS

Well the plans to pour the main floor concrete has been discussed for quite some time and now that it is done what a relief. The ten man team worked side by side and the pour went well. We had some great food to keep us going as Roy and Joan blessed us incredibly well.
Today as usuall we also had a lot of stop in guests that iether wanted to know more about the ranch or to know how and when they can pitch in.

All in all another day of favour and encouraging fellowship.

God appointments

As we travel from Abbotsford to Kelowna God opened door after door and meeting with people right out of nowhere. As the ranch woman's programs seems to be evolving into reality we are excited at the potential.

Okanogan teen-challenge was our appointment today out at the ranch site. Our meeting was with Anthony and such a blessing as we shared and prayed then a great meal.

James is busy out at the ranch so if you have time he can sure use the help.

Floodlight.

Picturing myself in one of the many dark and empty tunnels thousands of feet below ground, there I was left to do a job on those first days of my new job at the potash mine. The darkness was so black, like nothing I had ever experienced ever before. Now mounted on the front of my company supplied hard hat was a powerful adjustable flood light. At the end of the cord coming out of the light was a powerful battery that needed to be charged regularly.

Once my boss and the man carrier he drove were out of sight the darkness was so black and dark you could almost feel it.

Then after experiencing the darkness everyone talked about I hit the button
And turned on the light, what ever brightness I wanted or needed I could have, it was up to me.
Seems that's the way life is, we can live in darkness or seek the light it really is up to each of us. We can live in the brightness or dim light what ever we choose. Hmmm go figure

PS. don't forget to spend time charging your battery.
