Thursday

James and Dave spent the morning working on the trim on the shop and then headed into town to help us with collecting tables from all the other churches for the fund raiser event Saturday evening.

Cat rentals gives us a fabulous discount on our rentals for the ranch, which we are so great full for.

Joey had Kenon as a helper for a while today and as they have their own company now it makes it a whole lot easier.

Stopped in to visit Bruce today and it was great to see him up and doing a bit of work on his computer.

Wow it wasn't long ago that we started all this construction and look were we are today, God is good all the time.

Tuesday's prayer

Heavenly Father we love and worship you. We glorify your mighty name above all names. Everytime we pray to you Lord we feel such a humble love. A deep gratitude for all that you have done in making the Battle River Ranch a reality.
Lord we know that you allow things to come into our lives for a reason. The greatest of which is to save souls for your kingdom. By your name Lord Jesus Christ and by Your authority please bind Satan and cast him away.
Lord we ask you by your blood and saving grace, to touch mightly this situation and bring about Your healing and Salvation. Lord our hearts cry out to you. We need your love and understanding, as we go through these hurts, trials and challenges. Please surround all of us including all our nieghbours with Your beautiful angels bringing us peace, comfort, protection and wisdom.
Please help all of us to see through your eyes with a solid strength of faith. Help us to walk in the Holy Spirit power of faith. A faith like we have never had before. Thank you sweet Jesus and in your name. Amen

Please know that we just said this prayer with you, even though you can't see us in person. Our prayer "is" joined with yours. We believe that the Lord honors prayers and that He will honor this one. He knows your heart, and He knows ours right now. We prayed this prayer for you with all of the faith that we have. It is a "real prayer" and it has been said with our full "real amount of faith."

Please rest easy now and try walking through this whole situation with the "eyes of Jesus in faith." It doesn't matter what your fleshly eyes see or how you are feeling. Faith goes much more beyond that. Faith sees things having happened already even though it hasn't. Look down the road a few years from now and see the good to come. Now keep that good vision in your mind and believe strongly, trusting in the Lord. Hold your head up and walk believing and knowing that God is with you and that you are "not" alone. God bless you. AMEN

Wednesday

As we near our annual fundraiser banquet our schedule seems to be out of control. James and Dave completed the sealing of the floor in the new shop today. We had a visit from Randy with Occupational Health and Safety . Randy did a check of the ranch and we discussed the many area's of safety that need attention. He also left us with a lot of information to improve our level of public safety. He is looking forward to working with Cam our on site safety coordinator and instructor.

Ticket sales are up and then down for the fund raiser, but we are praying for a great turnout to this years event.

We are getting in some very nice silent action items and look forward to a fun and informative evening.

Our first horse has arrived at the ranch and she is a beauti. Melissa has ridden her and the two of them seem to fit very well.

Wednesday Prayer

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a
listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all
of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our
lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! We need to embrace all equally!

God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time
right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He
can. Keep the faith. Give God a chance. Or you have been blessed abundantly and understand that it is all in God's hands and He knows our hearts just the way they really are.

Here is our prayer for you:

Father, I ask You to bless or continue to bless our friends and relatives
reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and
power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very
moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there
is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless
their homes, families, ministries, finances, and their goings and their comings. In
Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Tuesday

Today we to spend time at the funeral of Mr. Ray Nelson and learned even more about what a legacy he left for us all to enjoy. He was and still is an inspiration to all of those that knew him and were blessed by his generosity and hope for all man kind, especially Canadians. He certainly gave out hope like it was candy in his pocket. I was blessed to sit and have the pleasure of spending some time with Mr. Nelson and as he listened to me you could tell he was listening to my heart more so then the words that I was speaking.

Mr. Nelson loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart and every one knew it after spending but a short time with him. The community of Lloydminister is a much greater place today because of the generosity and love of this man. The Battle River Ranch Camp and it's vision to improve the lives of men and women is moving ahead because of buisness men like Mr. Nelson, we are so thankful for how he is able to assist in bringing a vision of Gods into reality, Thank you so much. Mr. Nelson will always have a special place in our hearts.

Please join us a we lift the Nelson family in prayer as they say goodbye to their father and grandfather but yet rejoicing that he's now with the Lord.

FRIDAY'S PRAYER

O Dear Lord,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Monday Can't Beat That Day

James headed out to work at the ranch with Dave at putting in doors and trim on the shop. Diane,I and many volonteers spent the day preparing for the fund raiser. We are so blessed with the folks that stand by us as we continue to build a place of hope. Today I had a gentleman that would like to help with the ranch say that we just don't have enough people that care. Diane and I and many of you would probably agree that we are the last people that should be doing this, we don't have all the answers and we are not very organized, there are so many of you that are so much wiser and organized and we wish we had more of those gifts. But we will do what ever we can with all that we have to offer God and bless as many people as we can. With the help of family and friends and God's leading the ranch will be completed and serve it's purpose. The fund raiser will be exciting and a chance to get caught up on all that's happening out at the ranch, please come and join us.

Sunday So Blessed

We had a wonderful Sunday with family and friends. Hor d'oeuvers were served after the Sunday service. And then the annual general meeting for all that wished to stay. What an honor to be re elected for another term as one of the great team of deacons that represent our church under Pastor Lyle and Pastor Laura. After church we were off to the Willis farm visit with the for a visit with the new baby and a whole lot of great food to enjoy as usual. We then were off to the hospital to spend a few minute with our trusted leader and friend Bruce as he struggles with a back situation that we are all hoping that God will repair soon. He also seems to be a natural when it comes to creating crosses and we left the briefcase with him, look out hospital you are about to be blessed.

We then were off to the Vic Jubba center for a performance by the original Platters, wow did that take us all back a few years or what. Don't forget the Battle River Ranch Camp Fund raiser October 2 this next Saturday we need to see you all there as we prepare for another year of building the Kingdom of God and impacting lives with the gifts God has blessed us with.

WHY WE PRAY AND HOPE THAT
YOU WILL GIVE JESUS A CHANCE

THE LIFE YOU REALLY WANT AND CAN HAVE IS UP TO YOU

HERE'S ALL YOU NEED TO DO AND WHY

DON'T WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE TO DO WHAT'S RIGHT AND HERE'S WHY
#1
Because you have a past
You can't go back, but He can. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8) He can walk into those places of sin, failure and hopelessness, wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning. A beginning with a real and lasting future, full of hope.
#2
Because you need a friend
Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!
#3
Because He holds the future
Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you ...plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)

If you'd like to start over, with a new beginning with Jesus today, Diane, I, the board of directors, volunteers and supporters of Crossman Ministries and the Battle River Ranch Camp would ask you, if you are looking for a new beginning to please pray this prayer:

LORD JESUS CHRIST
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask Your forgiveness and now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.

If you have made this commitment and would like to make contact, please call us. We'd love to talk to you and help in any way we can.

We are praying for all of you reading the blog every day.

Saturday So blessed

This day was almost a wash out as we were all so beat and tired that we had very little energy to do any thing. We got all the tools put away and washed up, started the siding on the pump house and loaded rental equipment fro the return trip.

The new floor looks great and we are a very blessed ministry. we got a call from our friend Cel and the over head doors for the shop will be here sooner than we though and he will set a time to install them in the next two weeks. We are unable to have the shop ready for the fund raiser so it will be held once again at our home church the Lloydminster Gospel Fellowship Church, it would be a great support for Diane and I and the board of directors of the Battle River Ranch Camp to see every one of you at this important and exciting event. The honorable Gerry Ritz the federal ag minister will be our guest speaker and we are having a silent action with many exciting and great action items. Please come and join us. For tickets or to make a donation to this project please call Peggy at 1-306-825-7734. Thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.

Friday's Floor pour

Our Friday was the busiest day the ranch has ever seen to date. We ended up pouring all 74 meters of concrete. We got off to a good start by 8:00 am , we defiantly needed the hand of God over us to pull this day off safely. With 4 wheel barrows ready and set to go off we were and as we worked through the pour and the perfect weather of the day the girls fed us very well. Spiro's supplied pizza's for the day as well as food continued to come or be delivered from others. We had home made pies, apple crisp, ice cream, Lasagna, sandwiches, and so much to drink, wow what a blessing. Pastor Lyle was so right when he said when the blessings are needed they will be there. We were so blessed with help all day Joan came with food, she cleaned up the kitchen and made coffee then she jumped up on to the pay loader that she has operated a lot before and did a great job of leveling out the area were we did a lot of trenching.

Jacque and Claude two incredible concrete workers took the day off from their busy schedule to help us do the pour and boy did they know their stuff and did we ever appreciate their help. James did a great job of supervising and directing us, all of his planning ahead was worth it all.

Load after load we continued as the floor area soon was filled with concrete by 6:00pm but hen it took us till 7:00 am the next morning to complete the power troweling.

One of the helpers that had heard about the ranch but this was his first time out to see and help asked me when we got a bit of a break, who donates a building like this, or all this concrete or any of the donations that you have here. The only answer was of course God is the only one that can prepare people to do these kinds of blessing and they too will be blessed for what they are doing.

FRIDAY'S PRAYER

O Dear Lord,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
