Sunday can't beat that day

Pastor Lyle had some great teaching on fear today and how it holds us back from our potential. I heard it once said that living in fear is one way of dying before your time. Often we bind ourselves in chains of our own making and never accomplish what God has planned for us. We had a great day today, after church we picked up some lunch and headed north about a hour and a half to spend the afternoon with friends that are really helping us with the ranch project. Gerry and Judy Ritz have been a great help with the planning and have been very encouraging to us as we move along for a spring start to the construction and building of the Battle River Project. They have such a heart for the purpose of the ranch and the need for such a facility. God has a way of bringing all that's needed together for His purpose. The Infinity got a bit stuck and Gerry had no problem towing us in. We had a great visit and were very blessed.

Saturday surprise

We have had a few great days, yesterday we had our neighbours Dick and Judy over for supper. It's wonderful to see how the Good Lord works in the live of all of us. Last week they were going through such a time that there was even furniture out on the lawn and now this week it's a whole new ball game and things are better than ever, as the pictures speak for themselves. We also had Glenda over for supper and had a great visit. Glenda spends a lot of time with the Lord and is always willing to share nuggets of wisdom with us and we really appreciate her. Sometimes we get so busy with our daily lives that we don't spend as much time with God as we would like and as we should.
This morning I stopped in and spent a bit of time with Dwayne Bexson and as usual he is such an encouragement to me. Sometimes I wonder how I get through all the challenges that seem to come our way every day but Dwayne assured me that God was using it all to make us stronger and to prepare us for the work ahead.
I rushed back over to Joey and Melissa's and we celebrated Joey's birthday with a really good breakfast that our beautiful daughter-in-law, Melissa made, waffles and all the fixins.
Today we also met with Merv Loewen for a couple of hours and had a very productive meeting as we discussed our spring start up and what needs to come together by then. We are going to plan an exciting event in the near future that is yet to be announced.
Please pray for us as tomorrow we have another meeting with an important couple that are helping us with the ranch. Wishing you all a great evening and don't forget God wants to see you at church tomorrow. And all God's people said, "AMEN!"

Friday's Frenzy

BE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT
"So we built the wall." Neh. 4:6 NKJV

Nehemiah built the walls of Jerusalem in less than two months. How did he do it? Passion! He gave up a high profile job, overcame relentless opposition, and worked passionately. "So we built the wall...for the people had a mind to work" (Neh 4:6 NKJV). But first we read: "They said to me... The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and it's gates are burned with fire... when I heard these words... I sat down and I wept" (Neh. 1:3-4 NKJV). Observe:
1) PASSION is your first step to achievement. Your desire, not your IQ or your DNA, determines your destiny. The greater your desire, the greater your potential.
2) PASSION WILL INCREASE WILL POWER. Only when you want something badly enough will you pay the price to achieve it. God despises a lukewarm attitude, "I wish you were either one or the other! (Rev. 3:15 NKJV). A indecisive person gets nowhere with Him, " he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways" (Jas. 1:8 NKJV).
3) PASSION WILL CHANGE YOU. When your desires are in harmony with God's will and you follow them with a passion, you can't help but become a more productive person.
4) PASSION WILL MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE. Beware of "experts." Sometimes what they present as wisdom is just a short-sightedness. In 1895, Lord Kelvin, president of England's Royal Society, said, "Heavier-than-air flying machines are not possible." In 1905, US President Grover Cleveland said, "Sensible and responsible women do not want to vote." In 1923, Nobel Prize winner in Physics Robert Millikan said, "There's no likelihood man can ever tap the power of the atom." Jesus said, "With God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27 NKJV). When we become passionate about God's purposes, He will show us what's possible.
The word for you today.
Miracle of the day was our very good visit with Father Jan at the Catholic Church today and supper with Glenda at our house.
As our passion for the ranch and the need to pass on passion to the next generation is a project that seems impossible and who will support such a plan. God and God alone has the plan, the people, the provision and we can watch as He does one miracle after another to show us His marvelous love for us.

Thursday the day of change

Mexico, when I think of Mexico some of the things I think of are hot, very hot. In fact the only thing that Mexico and Canada have in common this time of the year is that you can't walk outside with bare feet, in Canada your feet would freeze and in Mexico your feet would burn, how crazy is that. Yesterday, Diane and I shared of how she lost her glasses when a huge wave wiped us all out as we were sitting in lawn chairs in the water. We also met a lot of really neat people, a cousin of my dad's and his wife from our home town were staying in the same hotel and we met with them a few times. We met up with so many more people from all over North America.
It was great to watch, as the local people did all they could to accommodate us and take care of us and our needs. One day as I was talking to a fellow from Kentucky who was a regular visitor to this resort, I mentioned to him about how out our balcony just below was a Gold's gym and all the people that we saw showing up every day to work out had some really nice cars, trucks and motorcycles. But what was really interesting was that as the clients drove up in their vehicles there were several guys that would rope off a section of the parking area, and they would care for the cars that were parked in their area. While the people were in working-out these guys would make sure the vehicles were safe and they would wash and polish the vehicles. Then, when the owners came out to leave, they would pay them for watching and cleaning their vehicles. It was a way to generate income and he said the economy in Mexico was different than most, because they have no unemployment or welfare payment system and so everyone looks for work or starves. The people who have the resources have no problem paying those that are in need because they all look after each other. He said it's quite a system but generally it works quite well. We believe that we need to be more aware of the needs of those in our community and look out for each other and the needs of those in our society who can't make it on their own. We are doing everything we can with daily meetings and presentations but we really need your help to make the difference needed in our communities. We have had people try to tell us that we are wasting our time and money that we really can't make a difference, that things are the way they are and that's it. But in the last 25 years we have run our business as an outreach to help others that need another chance in life and we can tell you story after story of people that today are working and today are having a positive impact on society and the world that they live in.
We know today that if God gets your heart and you allow Him to work through your heart real changes start to happen. So if your life seems dry and empty and everything around you seems to be falling apart, where hope seems to be for others and has somehow missed you leaving you floating out at sea in rough water with no oars or any type of lifejacket than why not give the God of hope a chance. Maybe you've seen people in churches that seem to be living lives worse than many others, but always remember Jesus came for the sick not the healthy and we are all a work in progress. It's always the heart that first draws people not character first, so give God and God alone your whole heart and that's when your world will shine no matter the circumstance.
Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say? The Word is near you; it is in your mouth and your HEART, that is, the Word of faith we are proclaiming. "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your HEART that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your HEART that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." As the scripture says, Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.
Miracle of the day was the opportunity to share the ranch vision with Pastor Heath Jeffery at New Life Community Church and their youth pastor, Kevin Reid. Found out we met Kevin before when we lived in Caronport and he climbed the climbing poles we had set up in the Chapel foyer for Youth Quake. Lots of great memories! They are very interested in being a part of the Ranch Project. P.T.L. God is Good all the time....
Just give Him a chance, do up your seat belt and hang on.

Wednesday Report

Not too many of us take much time to think about what kind of country we live in as long as everything around us is going ok. As long as we have a few good friends, a nice home to live in, a nice truck or car to drive. And an added bonus would be a cottage at the lake and maybe a winter holiday to get away from all the cold for even just a little while. There is nothing wrong with any of the above, we work hard and maybe feel we have earned the right to make and afford these life's pleasures. In fact Diane and I were blessed to have spent two weeks in Mexico last year at this very time of the Canadian cold winter and it was a very nice holiday and we can't wait to get another chance to go again. Getting up in the morning whenever, having breakfast, spending time doing our exercises and devotions and then heading down for lunch and then off to the water and spending time in the sun meeting a lot of people and eating a lot of great food and of course shopping. What more could one ask for in a holiday, not much? Well one afternoon Diane and I were sitting down at the beach and we thought, lets sit down by the water on our chairs and let the waves wash our feet. Well, like most people we wanted more so we went into the water a little more and every once in a while we would get one heck of a wave that almost would knock us over. We would be laughing and soon we had others joining us and we were all talking away when a whopper of a wave came in and knocked us butt over tea kettle. Well everyone survived but Diane was slammed into the lady beside her who was talking with us and her glasses were knocked off her head and gone in the powerful waves. We all looked desperately for them but one of the guys with us said forget it, they are gone for good as the waves sucks them out and that's it for good. They'll be buried deep into the sand somewhere. Well, Diane got a bit upset with him and said she was believing they will show up as she was praying for God to give her a miracle. So, please not talk so negative. He said sorry but he lost a gold chain a few days ago worth 400.oo and not a chance to find that either. Well Diane's glasses were brand new and they cost us big bucks as they were progressives and we were not going to give up looking and believing. Many of the people on the beach stayed and searched the beach for them, but they didn't show up. Everyone was so helpful and really tried hard to find them. Two days before that two girls were playing in the ocean and one came out and her friend is saying, where are your sunglasses, Diane is standing there and a wave brings them up into her hands, the girl was so thankful as they were brand new $100.00 sunglasses. That evening after supper and the beach was a bit quieter, Diane and I went down to where the glasses were lost in the water and we spent time praying that God would bring those glasses back, we were sure they would be damaged but if we only had the glasses Diane could get them replaced under warranty. Another couple we had met came along and talked a bit and they felt for us but you could tell they felt it was a lost cause. Diane emailed all her prayer warriers to pray for a miracle and just kept speaking to the Lord, He knows the number of hairs on our heads and how many grains of sand in the ocean, so He can bring those glasses back even though it doesn't look good, humanly speaking. He also brought those sunglasses out right into Diane's hands, that the girl had lost previously so we prayed and prayed He would do that for us as well. For the next few days we kept asking everyone along that section of the beach if they had seen a pair of glasses and nothing. Everyday we would ask at all the information booths if anyone had turned them in. Then on the third day instead of going to the beach we did a bit of touring around town and when we got back later we headed down to the beach area and no sooner had we gotten to the pool area and everyone kept coming up to us asking if we had got the glasses back as someone said that they think maybe our glasses were found and that Lorenzo the security guard has them. So again we went to all the security guards and all the information desks and no-one seemed to know a Lorenzo the security guard. So we finally gave up and went to bed but a lot more hopeful that someone had the glasses. The next day we came out and a guy we had met from Winterpeg asked if Diane was the one who had lost the glasses, as he had been there looking when they were lost. We said "yes" and he said he might have them as he was on the beach when they washed up right around where they had disappeared and another man who had also been helping us look caught them and gave them to Lorenzo, who was just a tourist not a security guard. So we went back to their room with them and sure enough he had Diane's glasses and he said they had washed up right where we had lost them. They were sand blasted and Diane could not use them but when we got home she was able to return them and within a week she had a brand new pair. It's great to know that when we run out of self that we have an awesome God that loves us and takes care of even a pair of lost glasses. P.T.L. As someone has also shared we need to have that little mustard seed of faith, and don't let the nay-sayers take that faith away, our God is more than able.
Matthew 17:20 "He replied, "Because you have so little faith, I tell you the truth, if you have faith, as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
And that's the kind of faith we need to build this ranch. As we go out each day talking to leaders in our community, sharing the ranch vision with them all, and as Merv Loewen told us, show the picture and you will get all you need to build the ranch. So we continue to show the picture to everyone we meet even to the people we met on the beach in Mexico, which also helped to build their faith when we shared what the Lord was doing and how he brought the land we needed to build this ranch. One of the believers we met in Mexico was from Steinbach,
Mb. and wants to come and teach outdoor living at the Ranch when we get going, so it's great to share even in Mexico.
Today we met with the pastor at the Lutheran Church and had another great meeting.
Another miracle of the day is that we heard that Jonathon, a roofer wants to get in touch with us and would like to help us with teaching roofing out at the ranch, because someone was faithful to share what God is doing with the Ranch and shared that with him, so now he wants to be a part of it also. God is so Good!

Tuesday's trivia

Over the past 18 years our family has made many crosses, too many to count and most have been given away as gifts for learning Bible verses at church events, Bible camps, all night Youth events, biker rally's and Sunday school classes. I remember years ago in our basement we had our little cross shop and the kids would gather around as I would cut the horseshoe nails to the right length and then solder them together, clean them up and wrap each one. Dip them in a special dip to make them shiny and to keep them looking good. Back then we could make about ten crosses a day and that was pretty good. As the years passed by and all the kids took their turns at soldering and cleaning or wrapping crosses we have been able to make more and more each year. Today on a good day we can easily make 100 crosses a day and we have been able to have a lot of others that have been gifted that also help us in the cross shop. We make about 400 different kinds of crosses and we seem to be the largest handmade cross shop in the world, how cool is that? We no longer solder the crosses they are all copper brazed and and are much stronger and as we offer a life time warrantee with each cross so they have to be strong. Larry works hard to ensure quality control as each cross is double checked for strength. They are also much shinnier as Ben carefully cleans and polishes each cross to a fine finish. Then I take each one and wrap them with one of our many cords or wire selection to make each one as unique as the person that will wear it. Then for the final inspection Diane will let no cross leave the shop till it is as perfect as she expects each one should be. Then she ties a cord on to it and a scroll to tell a little message about the cross and what it should mean to each of us. A lot of folks won't wear a cross as they say people should see Jesus in me without wearing a cross. We find we get so many opportunities to encourage people because they see the cross we are wearing and it makes an open door to talk about it. A cross always draws attention and gives an opportunity to share it's meaning and purpose. I was once set up at a swap meet many years ago, a place were bikers sell and trade bikes, bike parts, clothing and a whole lot more. Along came this big biker with his girl friend. He was in a brown trench coat and hat with a really good beard and would not look at me. His girlfriend looked at the information I had set out on the table about Crossman ministries and we had a good selection of crosses for sale also. After his girlfriend looked at a few of the crosses she found one that she really liked and showed it to him, but he said, "I don't care your buying it not me." Well I'm thinking this guy is none too friendly and why is she with him anyways. She chose a cross and gave us a donation for it and then she walked away but he just stood there in front of our table until she was gone over to another table. Well he then turned to us [ Joey and Mike were with me ] and he said, "could I ask you a question," and I said, "sure." He then asked me the most unbelievable question, he told me that the girl that was with him is his girlfriend but that she is a Christian and though he really liked her, he said I respect my way of life and my friends and I'm not sure how I'll be able to keep her. Then he looked at me for an answer, I swallowed hard and the boys later told me they were wondering, "oh boy dad what are you going to do now?" Well God is good and so I just had to trust that God would put the right words into my mouth as this guy wanted to have an answer. So I then told him that one of the things I know for sure is that God doesn't put people int our lives for nothing and that if he would respect her as much as he respects his friends and his way of life that no matter what was going on in his life God would use her to teach him something that he needed to know and would help him always. Well then, what happened next was amazing as he reached across the table and shook my hand as he said thank you very much I needed to hear that and that he would like to talk to me again some time.
Most people need and want to hear from God to help them in their lives some time or other and even though they don't easily admit it they are glad that there are those of us are willing to talk to them and pray for them. A friend of ours once said that we as Christians have a great responsibility in that we need to pray and when God puts someone in our path that need God's help we had better not ignore the responsibility to do what needs to be done. Too many just walk on by or ignore the needs of others. Someone told me the other day I don't want the hassle I just want to go home and be left alone someone else can do it.
If God has saved you from that pit and given you a new life you should use every opportunity to share with others what the Lord has done for you.

Mondays momentum

Diane and I have got to be some of the most blessed parents on the face of the earth. Two people like us, growing up, living for the next drunk. Thinking this was normal, looking forward to the next high, believing this is all there is to life. We remember those days when we had to make a choice to continue hoping that if we just drink a little less and stay out of the bars or to stay away from the drugs that all would be just fine. Or we could walk away from everything we were so used to and give our lives to Jesus. At first it scared us but we had to do something or we were finished. The different lifestyle and choices we made to follow Jesus brought so much hope, instead of following nothing which would have led to nothing and giving us nothing in the end. A lot of people may disagree with us choosing Jesus and living for Him instead of our own selfish desires. Even if in the end we were wrong and there was no heaven, no Jesus waiting for us, well, we still had a great life with a great family that today all have a great future, but what if we made the right choice, Bonus! We thought it would be so boring, to not do the drugs and alcohol, we have never been so wrong, life has not been boring at all. It is so full of joy and purpose now that was never there before. Still to look at the two beautiful daughters that we are so blessed to have, and four great sons and three daughter -in-laws and one son in-law, they are all hard working and always take care of us and make sure we are involved and all there siblings are involved in all they are doing. What would we do without our five wonderful grandkids and two more on the way soon. Our lives are so full.
Someone tried to tell us, "you just wait, it won't always be smooth going, there will come a time when it won't be so great, don't be so naive". Well that's what many said when they thought we were having too many kids or they said, "you wait till they become teenagers," or "once they are on their own, look out they'll be gone." We really enjoyed having our teenagers around, of course they weren't perfect and neither are we, but we wouldn't trade it for anything!
I remember having some real struggles with our youngest son James, he would not get on his two wheeler bike and learn to ride it like the rest no matter what we would do he would push that bike around and around the block, but he would not get on and try to ride till one day he just got on and did it all by himself. Then when he was older it was hard to get him to ride a small motorcycle of ours but when he was ready he just did it. Then came the day and he was on behind me on my decker and out on the highway in the middle of nowhere, I stopped and said, "now it's your turn" and he said, "no I can't do it," but I made him move up front on that big old bike and in no time we were cruising down the highway and he's never looked back. If you are blessed to have a family, be a part of everything with them, make life so much fun they won't want to be anywhere else but with the rest of the family because they are afraid they will miss something. What ever the family is doing is always more fun than anything else they could be doing and because mom and dad are always there. Making lots of money or having everything the Jones's have doesn't work, they just want mom and dad and lots of adventures. A friend in Caronport who was also a dad once said, "get your kids involved in what you enjoy and they will always stick with you." At the ranch just like at camp it will be run like a big family, the thing all people need the most.
This evening we had a great board meeting and lots of laughs. It seems the more we move ahead the more people that are getting excited and waiting till we get the ranch up and going so they can come learn at the ranch.
A father that knows his son will get the help he needs at the ranch, is doing all he can to help us get going.
Miracle of the day, more people have come on board as monthly supports, God is so good!

Sunday can't beat that day

WHAT IF!!! hmmmmm. I've heard it said that the richest place on the face of the earth is not the diamond mines of Africa or Saskatchewan, the oil field or Kuwait or Saskatchewan, but the graveyards outside of our communities. There lies dreams never attempted, hopes never tried, inventions never shared and all because of fear. The fear of failure has crushed more hopes, dreams and inventions that would have made such a difference in so many area's of society and people's lives. The ability to function without the fear of failure would in itself be a huge success to most of us. And yet we know that fear is not of God. If we just look around at all we have to be thankful for and count our blessings for all that God has done for each of us. What if we just do it and not worry about what could happen, whats the worst that could happen.
We spent some time with a business a while back and he told of the many times he went bankrupt and yet today he is doing very well for himself. He never gave up and never let fear get the best of him. There's so many things as we seek to build the ranch that could try to rob us of our joy and fill us with fear but we choose every day to live in victory, 'Faith Victory.' So don't give up on your dreams your hopes your visions, God will make a way if you give Him a chance.
Hebrews 11:1,6 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see ... And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

Saturday surprise

Yesterday we talked about the cost of all the courts , jails, police and the list goes on and on as our society seeks self gratification as one's right and if it feels good for me than I have a right to do it, who says I'm wrong. Without God as head of our lives and as the only standard in history of right and wrong, society is riding a runaway freight train and nearing a destroyed bridge over a bottomless cavern and all we seem to be able to do to avoid accepting what's ahead is to not look beyond our own personal satisfaction.
We make feeble attempts to mitigate these moral issues by passing all laws from all levels of government in an attempt to keep faulty character in check. But expecting governments to take care of every one's needs because of behavioral choices, their own or others, is not only costly, it is ineffective. More money thrown at problems will not develop character. Character can only be developed by inner transformation, self-reflection and spiritual renewal through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The more we avoid talking about morality, righteousness and spiritual reality, the more society moves toward external controls in the form of laws, programs and government control.
The recent financial crisis was driven by faulty character - bad self government - greed and dishonesty.
Another massive cost of lack of lack of self government is the breakdown of the family. The explosive social, emotional and fiscal cost of divorce and family dissolution has indebted governments beyond imagination. Families where fathers are absent, some even living at home in what seems to be a spiritually secure and financially secure home and yet fathers are absent from the lives of their wives and children. They can be great at building wealth and position but never take the time to understand why their daughter is having so many struggles, or his son spends most of his time with others. Children from broken or dysfunctional homes [rich or poor] some researchers say, will have about an 80% chance of living in poverty. While the children from a home with a Mother and Father, mom and dad committed to their marriage and regular prayer time have about a 90% chance of never living in poverty. As Governor Huckabee said, "If you want to treat poverty strengthen families."
The God of relationships has given us some helpful direction like, "love your neighbour as yourself, do justice and mercy, and seek first the kingdom of God." If we would only give God a chance, that freight train would slow down and the bridge would be safe and strong enough to cross over the cavern with all the hope and future we need.
God is looking for a few good people, I'm reminded of William Wilberforce [a hero for humanity] and what his granddaughter said in Kevin Belmonte's book as he provides in his study of Wilberforce, is the humanity of the man, the total self sacrifice undertaken for the love of his fellow sisters and bothers whose fate he reckoned emanated from the greed and inhumanity of mankind. Charles Colson said Wilberdforce gave himself fully to Jesus Christ and it was no casual commitment. Amazing what God can do when given a chance.
God has blessed many of us with the ability to help change the direction of many lives and as we work together, Diane and I are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of that change and so thankful to all of you that stand by us, as we provide an opportunity to improve and change lives for so many. May God continue to richly bless you all.

Today we encourage you to get fired up and go for it and help us make a difference building the ranch.

Friday's Frenzy

I hate peer pressure but this time I gave in to it and went out and bought a new, "old school helmet" like our sons are now wearing. I found one for a deal I couldn't turn down. The color is a bit off but I think it'll do, what do you think guys?
We had a great meeting with Pastor Tim at the Living Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle this afternoon. He gave us the opportunity to share the vision and where the ranch was at right now.
He had lots of great ideas for us to promote the Ranch, he was so encouraging and prayed for us before we left. God is so good.

Jesus tells us that of all the laws in Scripture can be summed up in just one, "So in every thing, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
If everyone followed that one law, would we need governments to pass laws to restrain behavior? We wouldn't need to spend billions of tax dollars for; police, social programs and jails.
We wouldn't have 350 children a day being aborted. Many thru partial birth abortions so that their organs can be harvested and then the rest of the almost full term child being discarded as garbage. The government wouldn't have to be lobbied for just laws to protect children and the oppressed.
A speech given by former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, who was also a pastor said: "Many people look to elected government to solve their problems but good self government is the key factor that would solve many of our problems. We wouldn't need to look at opening more night clubs or strip joints as we could easily see the long term damage to a society that is already so deep in a pit of mire, more of this type of adult entertainment is definitely not the right way to go.
People always want more of whatever they are involved in, be it; Drugs, pornography, alcohol, sports, money, prestige, religion, Christianity, families, self seeking, community work, God and most of us are never satisfied with whatever stage we are at, always seeking more. Many of the above are self destructive behaviors and do nothing to promote community strength or growth. But as a society that has chosen self gratification over Godly direction, we may find the next generation will follow, only far worse than we can ever imagine possible.
If we would develope self control then we would have no need of laws to restrain our behavior. Wouldn't it be great if he or she would do right even if no one was looking. He or she would make wise decisions that will not cost them or others. If we would only apply one key law that would alter culture, change history and enhance life-- do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Faulty character. on the other hand, is frighteningly costly. The individualist movement that sprung upon us in the sixties and the 'me generation' that was birthed from that ideology has spawned a greedy and selfish society. Looking out for number one, relativism and the lack of love and care for others - many times even our spouses and children fall by the way. Consider the billions of tax dollars spent to pay for countless social workers, counsellors and civil servants to administrate endless social programs, judges to rule over custody battles and property disputes, police, investigators, courts, administrators, jails... and the list goes on.
We hope the ranch will be a part of a plan to draw people back to what really counts and what we need to focus on to make difference in a society that is looking for answers and a generation of young people looking for hope.

Sorry but I need to continue this tomorrow as I'm off to wing night and a movie at the church.
God bless you all and to all a good night!

Thursday the day of change

We made it home safely but what a trip! The highway was so icy, so we stopped in Wainwright for a break and had a tea with Larry and Peg, then headed back the rest of the way. Today we got to drop in at the Calgary Dream Center, a recovery center that has taken over a hotel on Macleod trail in Calgary. When we left Jim said to expect a call from them soon as they would like to know more about the ranch and who would qualify to be able to come. On our way home we had the opportunity to talk with Mike, the environment Protection Officer for the ranch area. He said that he was out our way in the fall checking things over and that if we need help with anything to let him know he said he would help us with whatever he can. So great the way God brings everything together. All around Diane and I had a great time and we certainly had the favour of God with every meeting we had. It was very positive and so we continue to move ahead as doors open we walk through and keep sharing the vision to everyone we can. Please pray for us as we have another meeting with a pastor tomorrow and that will wind down an exciting week of ranching. We read a quote by C. S. Lewis today. "A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him, than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling darkness on the wall of his cell." We believe that we can show and shine God's glory in the way we share our hearts with others and that's what changes the world that we live in. The Calgary Dream Center stepped out in faith and took over a hotel on Macleod trail and are today, with the help of the community making such a differance in so many lives, this is only one of the facilities in the Calgary area to help those that are ready for help to find their way to a productive life. We really do need your help, and even if you can help with $25.00 per month it will help greatly, it all adds up to make a huge difference. We really thank all those that have chosen to suport the ranch, camp project. Please give us a call as to how you can help. The miracle of the day has to be that we recieved an email from a young man that has been following the blog and has been through a lot in his life. He and his family used to live beside us years ago and now we are blessed as Marshall would like to know what he can do to help build the ranch. P.T.L. and thank you Marshall.

SO TODAY WHY NOT GET FIRED UP AND GO FOR IT AND HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE BUILDING THE RANCH
