Saturday surprise

Ladies work together to feed the family where the mother has been hospitalized for three months; Neighbour farmers pull their combines and trucks into the yard of a friend after an accident happens to take his crop off, Fire trucks from many communities rush to help a community with a huge fire, Community comes together to search for lost girl in very cold weather. When ordinary people do wonderful acts, we sit up and take notice. These are the kinds of newspaper headlines that inspire us and give us hope.
But beyond the headlines and out of the sight of most people are other individuals who also inspire hope. Thousands of people make a career out of putting others ahead of themselves by following the call to a full time work of bringing hope into others lives. These people have experienced and seen the work of God in their own lives and and many others and have chosen to follow the example of Jesus Christ himself, who "made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant".
The very most important thing we learn from the life of Jesus, is that we're called on to put others' interests before our own. While this may seem to some a waste of time and a very thankless way to spend our lives, no amount of our difficulty will ever compare to the sacrifice Jesus made for us. We need only to look at our life style and the the abundance that we lavish on ourselves, and to ask ourselves is this what Jesus would do? Following a call to help others could be as simple as shoveling a neighbours sidewalk or as difficult as giving up a great job and paycheck to follow Jesus' call on your life to a full time ministry position, or mayby to support a ministry in need that God puts on your heart . No matter how we decide to live out our lives as followers of Jesus Christ we need to always consider others better than ourselves as part of a life that's devoted to Jesus Christ, who is our ultimate example of selflessness and servanthood. He did give it all!!!! Give Him a chance.

SO TODAY WHY NOT GET FIRED UP AND GO FOR IT AND HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
