So close so thankful so exciting

    From a piece of bared empty land from the hand of God himself just a few short years ago to what we now have and is almost completed to where we will be starting our program. Giving as many men and women the opportunity to expierience a variety of trades and life skills as possible in a safe, faith based environment.
     None of this would have been possible without the help of hundreds of volunteers that gave completely to improving the lives of others. Diane and I think back to 36 years of marriage and all those that God put into our lives as we ran our plumbing and heating business and raised our beautiful family. Taking the summers off to work at the bible camp and summers on the road with the semi meeting so many folks, ministering in hospitals and detox centers and today many of them arriving at the gate of the Battle River Ranch Camp to put thier hands to the plow and help us again to honour God and make him real to those who have little hope.  Pastor Lyle had agreat message again as usuall and spoke about the real fact that we have become totally me centered society, it's all about me and I will do it my way. Well as we watched over the years parents that choose this route they also reaped the fruit of these choices, and now we have a generation of spoiled and wastefull people. As I approached a gentleman the other day about helping out at the ranch with a donation and shared with him all that has been done and the many that have donated to this project and all it will accomplished, he wished me good luck and there was no way he would help, I felt like he was saying I don't need to help anyone but myself {hope I was wrong} and we pray God will change his heart.
     We have so much and there is so much each of us can do if we help just a bit. It isn't easy to ask for help but we continue to pray and trust and we do get through each month, often just bareley but we do and we thank the good Lord for that.
     Todate we are very close to being ready for the September 4 opening and with your help it is possible.  We need carpenters, electricians and plumbers and general helpers as there is so much to be done. This week we hope to continue moving ahead with the interior pine installation and also to restart installing the pine siding on the outside. We also need to build the front steps and entrance landing.
     There is also some landscaping that needs to be done all around the lodge. If you have the expieience and timee to help us with any one of these projects please come on out and give us a hand.

FREEDOM RIDE AND RALLY 2012

Things are really ramping up out here at the ranch as God's elect, and if you feel in your heart that others are more important than your self and there is hope for more you are his elect. As each one of us sets aside selfish motives and seeks first the kingdom of God, SURPRISE, we end up with more than a hundred wished or good lucks could produce.
How will you ever complete the lodge with out the needed materials and help, is a common comment, but day after day the miracles happen as we are blessed with new flooring, new appliances, installation materials, financial donations, volunteers from as far away as Prince Rupert, how is this all possible you ask, well take a walk right now with Jesus and ask him and he will fill you with the same hope he has blessed all of us and so many with.
Today we pickup Sam our first registered trainee flying in out of Abbotsford, BC. And there is such a peace and atmosphere of hope surrounding as God draws in those he knows will take the stand for Hope. Blessings to you all and for your prayer support. The clique or the riffraff

Were do you fit in. Growing up in a very dysfunctional home really can make a person grateful for a great family. Or a person can continue the disfunction by staying in that stinking rut.
Jesus pushed his way right into were he new he fit and was sent for and that was among the riffraff. He never fit the mold of any of the religious crowd.
Shame on parents that do nothing to shape the most important part of a child's life their spiritual direction. Each and every one of us as a child experienced disappointments, discouragement and times of loneliness
and young adults are no different today. Without strong spiritual direction and a relationship with Jesus a great friend to us all, many will be swept away by the synome of the fastest growing religion in the world -secular humanism-. It's time to give each of those young adults, that are seriously searching for the chance to find a skill that will give them the satisfaction and sense of purpose that will move them ahead in their lives.
