wednesday Report

A CHILD IS BORNE THIS DAY

Once again with all our hearts we thank you for what is a miracle forming before our eyes, and the blessing, that we get to be a part of as we do the will of God. We all have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we love and to build hope for the next generation with all that we have been blessed with. Some of you have said,"I don't have much to help with", but it's not how much you help with, it's the condition of our hearts that God works with, and as He sees us use what ever we have to do His work here while we can that's when the miracles happen, all for the cause of Christ? It's that fork in the road, the channel we can use, and a choice among many that God gives us every day to be kingdom builders.
Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center. Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can. This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation. You are always welcome to visit and we look forward to your input. This ministry is prayer based, and we pray daily for the needs of others, if you have a need for prayer and not sure where to start give us a call and we will confidentially support and help you in this area. You may not know a lot about God but God knows everything about you and He loves you more than anyone can or ever will. God bless you all Harold, Diane and the Board of directors of the Battle River Ranch Camp.

Tuesday

Our baby graduated today and that's the end of an erra for us as all our children have finished high school. It was a happy but yet a bit of a sad day as Victory now a beautiful grown woman will carve a life of her own as she seeks God's purpose and direction for her future. We are salt and light in this world we live in and as a family we will do our best for the Glory of God.

What's the point of having salt in the shaker if you're not willing to shake it? How is it possible for light to shine when the blinds are drawn and the doors are closed and locked? What is the great commission? Is it really great or has it been embarrassingly forgotten for the sake of self-preservation, comfort and security?

I read about a guy who had a recent discussion with an elderly man regarding salvation in Jesus Christ and the second coming, his response was this: he felt that all people that believed in God or religion of any sort would all end up in heaven one day. He went as far as to say that even the suicide bombers of 9/11 would be in heaven because they were sincere in their beliefs in God. This man although he belonged to a world wide religious organization had obviously no understanding of the scriptures or what Jesus actually taught. Many people go to a certain denomination to have the title but never accept or understand what they belong to or why.

So many people have this ridiculous idea about God in that no matter what you believe in, it's okay, just so long as you believe in something. The bible explains this in Proverbs 21:2 how that every man thinks he is right in his own eyes and also in Proverbs 14:12 that there is a way that seems right to mankind but the end results in God's judgement. We must take take hold of what the bible teaches and not merely rely on ones own thought process.

God is not a God who confuses the issue. He doesn't tell people on one case to follow and obey The Ten Commandments, love your neighbour as your self and not to commit murder, and then to tell others to blow yourself up and kill the innocent, expecting virgins in the end. Neither does he tell people to only believe in Jesus Christ for eternal life and then tell others to believe in a golden budda. Nor does He warn people of a hell to shun and at the same time to tell others they will be reincarnated and so on. Continued ..........

Hebrews 13

1Keep on loving each other as brothers. 2Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. 3Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

4Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. 5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you. 6So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"

7Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

9Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them. 10We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.

11The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. 12And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. 13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. 14For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

15Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. 17Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

18Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. 19I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.

20May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Sunday can't beat that day

W e had a great sunday today church was full of family and friends and we were invited over to friends home for brunch. Dawn gave Hailey a gift to give to the new baby and had it all specially wrapped. We have been blessed again from the Spurrels as they have let us use their camper for the graduation celebrations for Victory in Dodsland.

Amazing Grace Lyrics

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

WHY WE PRAY AND HOPE THAT
YOU WILL GIVE JESUS A CHANCE
#1
Because you have a past
You can't go back, but He can. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8) He can walk into those places of sin, failure and hopelessness, wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning. A beginning with a real and lasting future, full of hope.
#2
Because you need a friend
Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!
#3
Because He holds the future
Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you ...plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)
#4
Because so many don't know.
That in the last minutes of our lives we can ask Jesus to come into our lives and be in heaven with Him for eternity. The problem though in leaving it till the last moment is none of us knows when that last moment will be. Hell is a real place that each person there is isolated from God and every one for eternity.

If you'd like to start over, with a new beginning with Jesus today, Diane, I, the board of directors, volunteers and supporters of Crossman Ministries and the Battle River Ranch Camp would ask you, if you are looking for a new beginning or have never asked Jesus into your heart, to please pray this prayer:

LORD JESUS CHRIST
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask Your forgiveness and now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus, In the name of the Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit Amen.

If you have made this commitment and would like to make contact, please call us. We'd love to talk to you and help in any way we can.

We are praying for all of you reading the blog every day.

Saturday surprise

A while back I visited a neighbor and as we were talking right out of the blue he said " you know I'm not a religious man but this world is in a real mess and the bible is right about the trouble we are in, don't you think?" I told him good thing your not religious or you would never see the situation that we are in. I some times wonder who invented religion, cause if they did it to distract us from what God calls us to be it has worked real well. If God has called you to a cause do it with all your heart and strength and most of all do not be distracted. As Joey and I headed out to the ranch early this morning we had a great talk about purpose and God will for our lives. We are so blessed to have children that love the Lord with all their hearts and we can talk openly about the purpose and goodness of God in all our lives. What a blessing to have our family to stand by us as we work to accomplish God's purpose in building His Kingdom. Zelda and Durantt showed up this morning also and a lot got done with their help. And then Peggy showed up and prepared a banquet for us as usual. This afternoon Jack from Kindersley arrived and finished a lot of the work that needed to be done on the new approach, soon it will be ready to be used .Chris anb Caled came out for the afternoon and together we got our todo list accomplished P.T.L.

We are all called to make a differance in a way that others will be blessed and God will be excited, and if we spend time with the author of blessing we will always realize that the sooner we can give it all away the sooner we will truly know what Jesus was talking about. Until we are ready to give it all right now or at any moment, no matter the consequences that we see may happen, we will never know the the fullness of blessing God has in store for for each and every one of us in this walk of faith.

The book I'm reading right now is by an exciting author Francis Chain and he says "LUKEWARM PEOPLE are moved by stories about people who do radical things for Christ, yet they themselves do not act. They assume such action is for "extreme" Christians, not average mature Christians. Lukewarm people call "radical" what Jesus expected of all His followers.

James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says".

James 4:17
"Anyone, then, knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

Miracle of the day.
After weeks of Diane manually turning the timer on our dishwasher to do our dishes we came home today from the ranch and on our step was a dishwasher, and not some cheap bottom of the line dishwasher, this is one deluxe machine and my wife is back to her happy self again. God is so good all the time. His blessing never cease.

Friday's Frenzy

I often find that everything I was told before I became a believer to convince me that this was the life I needed is different than what I seen now in the church of today. I quickly found that the church of today is a difficult place to fit in if you want to live out being a follower of Jesus Christ. It seems that often the goals of todays church is a nice marriage, regular church attendance and knowing the right people. Taking the word of Jesus literally and seriously is rarely considered. That's for those "radicals" who are unbalanced and have not yet matured in their faith and often go "overboard" with taking the word literally. Most of us want a balanced life, one that we can control, that is safe, that does not attract attention and make us look foolish to the outside world and does not include suffering or sacrifice. Do we describe our selves as totally sold out for Jesus or do the words halfhearted, lukewarm and partially committed fit better.

Isaiah 29:13 (N I V)

13 The Lord says:
"These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,

but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is made up only of rules taught by men.

TGIF Cause Sundays a commin. Ranch chores were abundant today as we had some extra help putting up more siding. Diane and I had some very good friends stop in this morning from Moose Jaw for a visit and some breakfast. Lloyd and Hazel Raine have been friends and prayer warriors for many of us for a long time. They both actively volunteer their time to Joe's place in Moose Jaw, a very blessed youth center in down town Moose Jaw.

I got the pictures of the new tires on this evening and this morning I called the tire shop that ordered in the two new tires a week ago to tell them and it was no problem as he said that he hasn't been able to find or get in the tires he was trying to get for us.

Danny is our newest volunteer and he had a great day today and fit in very well, thanks Danny.

Jon dilivered our weekly equipment and what a blessing it is, thank you Jon Action Towing and Emile Full Tilt and CE Franklin.

Matthew 6 : 9-13 Our Lord's Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread.

12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Thursday the day of change

We were able to pick up a wide
scaffold unit from Bexsons that will make putting up the siding a whole lot easier and safer.

We also had a set of regular
scaffolding lent to us by Gary Loewen who also helps us with whatever we need.

Melissa kept busy roto tilling the garden, Elisa finally got her tomato plants planted and Jacob was a great supervisor and kept a close eye on us
all.

Today's miracle was that we were given set of almost new tires for the front of the backhoe and they came with rims also, so when we got them to the ranch wouldn't you know it, the new rims also fit perfect. I forgot to take a
picture of them but will have one for
tomorrow.

If anyone of you would like to help with the installation of the siding or has ever done this before we would be blessed for the help.
We also had a visit from Dwayne Bexson this afternoon and he says the job looks, right on. We are so thankful to everyone for all the help.

Psalm 23 (King James Version)

Psalm 23

"1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the

valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
