Sunday can't beat that day

Well here we are Sunday morning, Doug and I are up bright and early getting the bikes ready to go and then we are heading over to the church to help set up tents and other displays. We also have to move some motorcycles into the sanctuary and then I'll head back to Doug's house to pick up Diane for the church service. Doug's wife is from Russia and is back home with her family for a few more weeks and so, sadly won't be here.

As Diane and I rode into the church yard it was great to see all the Alberta riders that have become such great friends over the years. These are folks that take their riding seriously and know we ride to serve the Lord along the highways and the byways. Each and every rider here has trained and prepared themselves as missionaries in an area of society that most people have none or little to do with.

Our Ranch display was a real hit and a popular spot for some real good conversation. We can expect some great returns, as a lot of these riders will be making the trek out our way to help in whatever way that they can. Dawn with her boys, Nolan and Jack also came up to support and help in anyway they could and we sure do appreciate them.

Blaine shared some of his testimony and the difference one man can make in so many lives.

Pastor Doug spoke on the fact that if we are living in the promises of God, believing the promises of God then favour will go before us. WOW haven't we seen that over and over again with the ranch He's building.

He also spoke about our mind talk. We need to be constantly filling our minds with the Word of God, so we can get rid of the negative mind talk and be filled with the Word instead.

Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever."

Men talk about 100 words a minute on average, women about 250 words a minute on average, but the average mind talk for all of us is about 1500 words per minute. And 70% is usually negative but we have the ability to turn that in to positive by filling our minds with the Word of God. Let's do it!!

Very interesting and so true. We're getting the dvd's if you want to borrow them sometime, definately fit in with Pastor Lyle's talk the week before on our heart condition. So good!

We finally got all packed up with much help from Jenny Freeman who came aong to help and to be at the biker blessing. She hauled all our stuff up and back home again and even set it up for us, what a blessing she is to the ministry.

On our way out we had to stop for a bit of ice cream with Dawn and the boys and then Diane and I hit the road. We had to make some miles as we needed to be home, unload, repack and then off to Saskatoon for my last 4 days of school on Waste Water managment.

So thankful to be able to stay with our good friend, Kathy again. God is so good and the family of believers keeps growing daily.
