Friday's Frenzy

I often find that everything I was told before I became a believer to convince me that this was the life I needed is different than what I seen now in the church of today. I quickly found that the church of today is a difficult place to fit in if you want to live out being a follower of Jesus Christ. It seems that often the goals of todays church is a nice marriage, regular church attendance and knowing the right people. Taking the word of Jesus literally and seriously is rarely considered. That's for those "radicals" who are unbalanced and have not yet matured in their faith and often go "overboard" with taking the word literally. Most of us want a balanced life, one that we can control, that is safe, that does not attract attention and make us look foolish to the outside world and does not include suffering or sacrifice. Do we describe our selves as totally sold out for Jesus or do the words halfhearted, lukewarm and partially committed fit better.

Isaiah 29:13 (N I V)

13 The Lord says:
"These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,

but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is made up only of rules taught by men.

TGIF Cause Sundays a commin. Ranch chores were abundant today as we had some extra help putting up more siding. Diane and I had some very good friends stop in this morning from Moose Jaw for a visit and some breakfast. Lloyd and Hazel Raine have been friends and prayer warriors for many of us for a long time. They both actively volunteer their time to Joe's place in Moose Jaw, a very blessed youth center in down town Moose Jaw.

I got the pictures of the new tires on this evening and this morning I called the tire shop that ordered in the two new tires a week ago to tell them and it was no problem as he said that he hasn't been able to find or get in the tires he was trying to get for us.

Danny is our newest volunteer and he had a great day today and fit in very well, thanks Danny.

Jon dilivered our weekly equipment and what a blessing it is, thank you Jon Action Towing and Emile Full Tilt and CE Franklin.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center. Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can. This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation. You are always welcome to visit and we look forward to your input. This ministry is prayer based, and we pray daily for the needs of others, if you have a need for prayer and not sure where to start give us a call and we will confidentially support and help you in this area. You may not know a lot about God but God knows everything about you and He loves you more than anyone can or ever will. God Bless You and Your Family!!!

Matthew 6 : 9-13 Our Lord's Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread.

12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
