Friday

A bit quieter today as James and I were at the ranch working alone. We needed to tamp the sand in the shop again as it was disturbed during the construction. This morning as we were driving out to the ranch we tried to figure out how we could water down the sand for better compaction. Well, wouldn't you know when we got out to the ranch it had rained really good over night and our watering was done, so we leveled out the sand and then we were able to do a great job of packing the sand.

We also built a new entrance ramp as the old one was not a doorway. Tomorrow we need to haul in more sand, level and tamp again to get ready for concrete.

We also attended the funeral of Harold Sand, who was one of our neighbors and we also had an opportunity to meet more of our neighbors.

Looks like we could fit about 20 back hoe's into the new shop.

Tomorrow is work day and we would love to see you out there to help and be blessed.

The ranch will be a place for the whole community to be a part of. You may need help with a pump or a furnace, a boiler or a water heater. You may need a break and join us for coffee and pie. Or you may have a group of students that you would like to spend the evening with, doing a Bible study and then incorporate it with a life lesson. Could be on taking care of the car you will or are driving. You might think you are good at chess but you haven't played James yet. Or you have always wanted to climb a 50 ft power pole but haven't yet had the chance. But best of all is that the Ranch will be the very most fun and best place to be storm stayed that you ever stayed at. We believe in a lot of fun and fellowship, music and drama, and we are in an area that has a lot of talent in all of these area's.
So the next time you are passing by please stop in and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, and let us know about the gifts that you have been blessed with. We have always been known as the friendliest folks in the neighbourhood, so unless you are a grumpy person and just want to stay that way, just because that's the way your Dad was. Don't let us know about you because we will come and change your mind about that kind of lifestyle. We do care and we want to be an asset to the community that we live in. Your new friends and neighbours Harold & Diane Stephan of the Battle River Ranch Camp.

A Fathers Love

A father is respected because
he gives his children leadership...
appreciated because
he gives his children care...
valued because
he gives his children time...
loved because
he gives his children the one thing
they treasure most -
himself.

A Blessing For Fathers

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7 NKJV

A good man obtains favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 12:2 NIV

May the blessing of being a father remind you of how valued and honored you are in the eyes of the Lord.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you. God Bless You and Your Family!!!
