Saturday surprise

The evening went well and we were all up by 5:45 AM. Hot, fresh coffee was brewed and the fire at the pit was burning well. The sun was rising to a beautiful morning. Most guys stayed up well after midnight talking and sharing as we were able to time after time to go before our Lord with prayer needs and many thankful hearts. A few of the older guys were up at 4:30 doing prep.work. After the first round of coffee we were sent out to find our own acre of land to spend time with God. Around 8:30 we all made our way back to the cooking area and had a great feed of baked oatmeal. Blaine Stephan was in charge of the baked oatmeal and it was a great success and we all had a great meal. After breakfast we had a wonderful time of prayer and thanksgiving, a few more testimonies and then it was time to clean up, pack up and head out.

Most of the guys headed home to catch a few more winks of sleep. Blaine and his family and Diane and I packed up to head into Edmonton to Doug Klan’s church for biker Sunday. Mike, Joey and Jason rode with us to Wainright and then they headed back to Lloyd. We had a super ride into Edmonton, then had a great supper with Elisa's brother and his wife, then Doug and his gang from "The Chariots of Light" picked us up and took us for a ride down to White Ave., Tim Hortons for a time of ministry to the bikers that gather there every Saturday evening. After we got to Doug’s where Diane and I were staying, we went over a few details as to what Diane and I needed to set up for the Ranch display. Thanks Jeanette! We were all excited as Blaine was asked to speak at the service in the morning. Had a great sleep after all the fresh air, it was a great ride, only a bit of rain and clouds, but the sunshine made up for it.
