Tuesday

Our baby graduated today and that's the end of an erra for us as all our children have finished high school. It was a happy but yet a bit of a sad day as Victory now a beautiful grown woman will carve a life of her own as she seeks God's purpose and direction for her future. We are salt and light in this world we live in and as a family we will do our best for the Glory of God.

What's the point of having salt in the shaker if you're not willing to shake it? How is it possible for light to shine when the blinds are drawn and the doors are closed and locked? What is the great commission? Is it really great or has it been embarrassingly forgotten for the sake of self-preservation, comfort and security?

I read about a guy who had a recent discussion with an elderly man regarding salvation in Jesus Christ and the second coming, his response was this: he felt that all people that believed in God or religion of any sort would all end up in heaven one day. He went as far as to say that even the suicide bombers of 9/11 would be in heaven because they were sincere in their beliefs in God. This man although he belonged to a world wide religious organization had obviously no understanding of the scriptures or what Jesus actually taught. Many people go to a certain denomination to have the title but never accept or understand what they belong to or why.

So many people have this ridiculous idea about God in that no matter what you believe in, it's okay, just so long as you believe in something. The bible explains this in Proverbs 21:2 how that every man thinks he is right in his own eyes and also in Proverbs 14:12 that there is a way that seems right to mankind but the end results in God's judgement. We must take take hold of what the bible teaches and not merely rely on ones own thought process.

God is not a God who confuses the issue. He doesn't tell people on one case to follow and obey The Ten Commandments, love your neighbour as your self and not to commit murder, and then to tell others to blow yourself up and kill the innocent, expecting virgins in the end. Neither does he tell people to only believe in Jesus Christ for eternal life and then tell others to believe in a golden budda. Nor does He warn people of a hell to shun and at the same time to tell others they will be reincarnated and so on. Continued ..........
