Fridays' Frenzy

Most men today are loaded with the responsiblities of supporting a family which comes with a car loan and a house mortgage, and if we want to be more like the Jones’s we probably owe on a boat, camper, quad, motorcycle or one of many other toys that big boys need . The pressures to balance this type of life is almost like walking a tight wire. So this weekend will give those that choose to, a chance to walk away from it all and breathe in some fresh air and let our overworked and over stressed lives have a break.

Elroy was a mechanic in my home town and he always told us younger guys that when we were racing our cars that if we would let that engine breathe by letting off on the gas for just a moment it would be enough to keep that engine going and lasting a whole lot longer. So whether we will be sitting around the fire pit, listening to a speaker or spending time with God on our own I’m sure it will be a great time for us all to get that well needed break.

Praise report is that the office was delivered today and set up in it’s spot. We also had more volunteers today as another one of our ladies from the church will be making cookies. Larry also has spent the past few days doing the finishing touches to the trees so that everyone will have a spot to set up their tents.

We also figured that we would check out the cost of a tent for the weekend as it looked a bit blustery so I gave George over at the Tent Guys a call and after telling him what we needed, he said they did have a tent that would work and easy enough to set up. I then asked him the cost of such a unit and he said don’t worry about it, this one is free. P.T.L.
