Tuesday and so terrific

Got to see our grandaughters first music recital last evening and it was great. Diane and I had a short sleep and this 6: am we were back on the road to the ranch. The day was very productive James has a bit more to do to finish the dormers we started to install the drip edge in preparation for the shingles.

We also moved the horses back to the east pasture for grazing and they were some happy with that move. Camron has been out helping us a lot and what a help that is as we lost one good man God provides another.

My I phone fell off the top of the roof of the lodge today and as always it took a licked and kept on ticken.

YOU HAVE A UNIQUE PURPOSE
We are all so unique and special to God that our lives should daily be waiting in anticipation of God plan for us. But we do need to be ready and prepared cause,
1 Corinthians 2:9 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" —
Probably the most misunderstood situation ever to occur is that we each and every one of us has a history. A history that includes the goodness of our God, the God that loved us so much that He gave His one and only son to take away the sin of the world, and He is waiting to take you back. Yet so many today choose or have in the past chosen to walk away and trust in what ever feels good at the moment, or trusting in them selves and their own strength or trust in nothing at all and then to wonder why there seems to be no hope. A life with out hope is like a motor cycle with out a battery and spark. It's a lot of work to push that bike every where, you look good with that bike beside you but the only way to look good is by a lot of work to push that bike every where. Why not put a battery in and and ride that machine the way it was made to be ridden and get places that it can get you. That's like our lives with out God, we try everything but never get any where, the brakes always seem to be on, that could also be called pride and ego and when God isn't invited into our lives we will never find the purpose we were created to be. With out knowing the purpose of a life, that life flounders like a boat lost at sea, tossed and thrown every where and goes into eternity never knowing what it's purpose was.
Right now if you feel lost and with out hope there is some one out there that will spend time with you and listen, some one that won't betray you or laugh at you, but will be a true friend a friend like you never knew before. You probably know who it is already but you have been afraid to take that step or make the call.

Saturday So blessed

Wow what a Saturday as so many showed up to help at the ranch, we had a lady show up to help Melissa with the horses especially prince who has been giving us a lot of trouble lately. Ladies in the kitchen preparing a phenomenal lunch as usual. Ryan and Jessica moved their holiday trailer out for the weekend and enjoyed a quiet weekend as Ryan continued building the basement steps. Camron and I worked on the west gable getting all the sheeting done for the roofers that are to arrive next week. We got a few loads of gravel hauled on to the dirt road and hopefully we will get the dirt covered soon.

Our new to us man lift has been such a blessing and today we had a guy that runs his own small engine repair shop near the ranch volunteer to come out and service the engine on the man lift and any other engine's we need help with. He said he just wants to do something to help. Just amazing how God provides the help that's needed in order for us to keep moving ahead building His project. I guess when you give it all to Him and stay focused on God's way and vision for the ranch it just works that way. We were also told that our animals are so gentle and peace full and very calm out here. Like our tee shirts from Swift Current say Don't mess with what's Blessed. Can you imagine if God said one thing and did another what could ever get done and would there ever be peace about anything. NOPE.

All the kids at the ranch safely played and were monitored at all times as they were allowed to be free to run and play.

I was asked to MC a fundraiser for a biker friend of ours from Lloyd this evening and it was a great time for all. We raised a whole lot of much needed cash for Rick and many well wishes were sent off to him. Rick you are loved by many as was seen by the crowd that continued to file into the legion facility.

I got home from the ranch as soon as possible bit near home a kid got tangled up in his bike so we stopped and did what had to be done and we fixed his bike and sent him on his way.

After the fundraiser we were blessed with a whole lot of goodies that were donated to the ranch

We donated some of our hand made crosses to the fundraiser and all of them raised a whole lot of funds, one went for $140.00 wow God is good.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog.The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can.

Friday's Frenzy as we head for higher ground

Needed to clean the posts on Diane's van batteries today and seem to have found the solution. Helping with a fundraiser for a sick friend tomorrow evening so if you know Rick come on out and support him.

The fundraiser will be at the Legion Center at 6:00 pm steak supper will be served and there will be a silent action.

A cold day out at the ranch today but still got a lot accomplished and looking forward to Saturday and getting the west roof completed.

Water or Coke?
I could not believe this..... Very interesting

WATER

#1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated..
(Likely applies to half the world population)

#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak
that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.

#4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs
for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
Washington study.

#5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of
water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain
for up to 80% of sufferers.

#7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on
the computer screen or on a printed page.

#8.. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of
colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast
cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop
bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water
you should drink every day?

#9.. Drinking two large glasses of water as soon as you get a runny nose will most often stop a cold and another glass full every few hours after. The runny nose is a signal that you are dehydrated and if you don't drink a lot of water soon you are going to be sick.
COKE

#1. In many states the highway patrol carries
two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from
the highway after a car accident.

#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke
and it will be gone in two days.

#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the
toilet bowl and let the 'real thing' sit for one hour,
then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes
stains from vitreous china.

#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour
a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble
away the corrosion.

#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola
to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into
the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix
with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

#8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke
into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run
through a regular cycle.. The Coca-Cola will help loosen
grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

#1 the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid.
It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric
acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major
contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.

#2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the
commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place
cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean
engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask Your forgiveness and now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.

We all need and are searching for choices and option every day in our lives. We want you
to know that you do have a choice as to where you will spend eternity and we just like to

heart He will be there for you. Just look at the criminal that hung on the cross beside
Jesus. Each and every one of us make choices every day about the life we want to live
while we are here on this earth but very few know about the option we have available to us
when it comes to eternity. God really does love you, Jesus really died for you and the
Holy Spirit will come and live in you. Just give Him a chance today

Thursday and movin on

Our schedule is very busy as there is a lot to accomplish this summer. So please keep us in your prayers. It is very exciting to build each stage of each building knowing and relating it to the word of God. Everything from a strong foundation to a good covering over us. Every development is unique and has it's own challenges to conquer. Right now we are busy trying to get the roof sheeted and the gables finished so the roofer can get right at the shingling. James got the chimney framed and mounted on the roof and does it ever look good and adds a lot to the character of the lodge.

Our hope and prayer is that the Battle River Ranch Camp will continue to be a place of rest and hope to everyone that visits. As so many have come out to help with everything from pounding nails, feeding horses, repairing fences, organizing stock and supplies to feeding us all the greatest meals you could ever be served we are blessed. And to those of you that continue to encourage us with your many emails and notes of encouragement thank you to all of you we couldn't do this with out your help. We have had people say everything always sounds so perfect with the ranch project, well this project has been far from a walk in the park but like our pastor warned us there would be the negative and the na sayers but keep your focus and God will guide and direct you towards the vision he gave you for the ranch. He was so right but with God's strength, a great church family and a strong community support body, we press on to the goal. The ranch won't be able to help everyone but thanks to all of you, your prayers and encouragement it will be a one of a kind place of incredible hope, the hope that Jesus came, lived, share and died for. The kind of hope that only unconditional love can provide.
