Thursday the day of change
Headed bright and early to have coffee with the guys at The Diamond Willow restaurant. Dennis and Velma were already there and also Mike. It didn't take long and Terry came bouncing in, the guy that's working on our curriculum. He was on his way to The Pas to pick up a load of furniture for his son in law, but he had to stop and let us all know that he hardly slept a wink last night, and not because he ate a late supper, but because he couldn't get the ranch curriculum off his mind. As I am writing this Terry is at the door and back from his road trip with more ideas about the ranch program. He feels that we need to go to three level system #1 fist level basics and safety training, #2 second level would be apprenticeship readiness, #3 would be specific trade readiness and all three would integrate with each other. I'll have to tell you all more when I understand it better and Terry will need about a month or so to put it all together and than when ever he will come out to Lloyd. and give it to us first hand at one of our board meetings. We spent some time discussing entrance qualifications an how to determine who would qualify and who not. Terry also has a lot of information as to tools and equipment identification and use. Wow Terry is so full of information and does he ever want to serve the Lord in this area. Well Diane and I are packing up to leave by noon tomorrow Amanda and Jooli are coming with us and we have a 6 hour drive tomorrow. We sure do miss our grandkids and are very glad to have pictures to tide us over till we see them again. Diane and I got to see more of the sights of Snow Lake and we got to go to Jooli's Ti Kwon Do classes. Looking forward to tomorrows miracles as God provides. Blessins to you all and good night.
Wednesday Report
Took most of my day but the pictures are here. As we spent yesterday cleaning up junk piles and doing repairs the best part of the day was spent sitting around the home made wood stove keeping warm and just talking. Plenty of stories of all the days past and days to come.
Amanda took time today to show us around Snow Lake and shared the history around this mining town and how the community over and over again goes from boom to bust and the hardships they have had to survived and the type of life when the economy was booming. As you can see by the pictures this is not a time of boom. Today I also met with Terry the guy that is going to help us with setting up the curriculum he has already done a lot of research and has some very interesting theories that he thinks might work. Some days I really wonder how this is all going to come together but as the Good Lord brings the people together it's got to be great. Other than mom making me do our morning exercises we are having a very nice break and look forward to the invitations by so many to come back next summer for the best fishing in Manitoba. The funniest thing we have heard is how every one envies Amana because she has company. People don't get a lot of company up here and the neighbors really look to see who's new in town. Here's praying we all live Romans 14 to 15 : 3 lives. Good night and God bless you all.

Terrific Tuesday
Terrific Tuesday's reminds me of a terrific girl. A girl that has put up with so much and gone through so much to take care of us all. I guess you all know that it's Diane, she just never stops believing in us all. Her strength keeps us all going and her love for God is so real to her and every one around her. I know most times she'd rather be doing other things than riding on the back of a cold or wet motorcycle, or heading to the ranch to mark out boundaries or set up tree lines but she always comes and does all that she can. Today she's helping to get supper ready for a group of Amanda's friends coming over for supper, that we will get another opportunity to share the ranch vision to and bless with a great supper. Today I'm going with a group of men from here that are working to rebuild an old camp that has been turned over to them. The camp building and yard are in big need of repair and lots of T.L.C. Dennis is spear heading this as God has put it on his heart for many years to set up a camp. Dennis is seen hear this morning talking to the Hydro guy about getting the power turned on at the camp at their main office. The camp is located only minutes from Snow lake at Wekusko lake and Dennis hopes that someday they will be able to bring people who are disabled and be able to take them out on a pontoon boat and do some fishing or just be able to enjoy the water and the fresh air as much as possible. What an incredible vision, and he also knows that they need to reach out to the youth of their community in whatever way God leads them. Today Vaughn , Mike, Dennis and I cleaned up an old wood pile, wired some power to the main building from a generator, repaired a roof and installed some new screens. Oh ya and hooked up the venting to a great wood stove that we were able to get started and enjoy the heat and fellowship around. This evening we had a great supper and a great response to our presentation, lots of questions. Our camera died after the third picture today and so I used Dennis' camera, but he can't find his cable to plug into our computer so they will continue to look at home and hopefully tomorrow we will have some more great pictures of the camp to show you. What a blessing to see how God is using so many people to help and make a difference in the lives of so many. Lets all make someone's life a little better tomorrow.
