Friday and so forgiven

Bit of a roller coaster ride today as the piling company that was to pound in our piles today phoned and said they were unable to help us with our piles as they had too many bookings to help. So now what we need an option as we desperately need those piles in to move the lodge ahead and get the roof on. Let go and let God was all we could do, as anything else was just too depressing. Well once we let it go and set in the right hands we went on to do other things that needed to be done around the place, like skirting need to be completed and it did, replace counter top in kitchen and we started on that repair some wiring under trailer and we got that done also. But then by 4:30 everything changed and we were back on track and we had a new company helping us out and looks like the piles will be in tomorrow,PTL.

Our new to us lawn mower arrived safe and sound and we also got some lawn cut along the road ways.

Saturday and we need your help right here at home

Great day at the ranch and a super mayors prayer breakfast this morning. We got the main support wall on the upper level and all the needed bracing in place. Also had an opportunity to talk to several new supporters at the breakfast this morning, PTL.

If in any way you can help us with needed material and building funds we would be so blessed as we move to complete the lodge as soon as possible.

Wound down the evening in a great fashion with friends as we got to help out at a fundraiser for Kim.

Once again with all our hearts we thank you for what is a miracle forming before our eyes, and the blessing, that we get to be a part of as we do the will of God. We all have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we love and to build hope for the next generation with all that we have been blessed with. Some of you have said,"I don't have much to help with", but it's not how much you help with, it's the condition of our hearts that God works with, and as He sees us use what ever we have to do His work here while we can that's when the miracles happen, all for the cause of Christ? It's that fork in the road,the channel we can use, and a choice among many that God gives us every day to be kingdom builders. Thursday A Day of Victory

A busy day of meetings and then off to Saskatoon for an appointment at the city hospital. We also made supper for Alvin our cousin in the Maidstone hospital and Ida. We decided to make German crepes and that is crepes with butter brushed on them then sprinkle on a generous amount of icing sugar and then squeeze on lemon very German very Good Smecked Sa Goot Ya. We prayed with Alvin and Ida and off we were.

We got into the city about 8:30 and stayed at our biker friends Kathy and what a blessing she always is to us. She had fresh salsa ready and did we ever get blessed as we ate and ate and it was great. Lots of sharing and then down as we had an early morning ahead of us and a long but we were expecting a blessed time of God appointments.

So many of you are unable to get out to the ranch as often as you would like or not at all. Many have called to ask what they can do to help. The biggest need we have at the ranch is that each and every one of you would continue to pray for us as we have a huge project that we have going here at the ranch and God has blessed us with His provision, protection and safety as we move steadily ahead on all area's of construction and program development. As we see daily supplies arrive to bless the ranch project and people and businesses to help in what ever way they can. We still need the financial support that we hope and pray our family and friends will help us with. This is a 100% Canadian Ministry reaching out to 100% Canadian men and women youth that simply need an opportunity to develop a skill, and hopefully one they are gifted at to enable them to be productive and positive assets to themselves and society. We absolutely feel God has called us and prepared us for this ministry.

Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!

Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)

while we are here on this earth but very few know about the option we have available to us

when it comes to eternity. God really does love you, Jesus really died for you and the

Holy Spirit really will come and live in you. Just give Him a chance today.

Friday and with hearts from which abundance flows

Steppin out is a great place to be, our day was filled with excitement and blessing after blessing from Dad. Ran into a whole lot of folks and you guessed it they all wanted to hear about the Battle River Ranch camp.

We then had a great lunch with our daughter. Then we were off to Young to visit an aunt of ours that was 92 years old and still on her own and doing very well. She helped us, over the phone, make some apricot jam so we had to take some to her and we got to share about the ranch to her and a friend over tea, toast and apricot jam, yummy.!

Heading back to Saskatoon we were going to stop downtown for some ice cream, but where to go? Cold stone or the double bus in front of the Bez. Well we choose the bus as they have great maple walnut ice cream. After we parked in a great spot in front of the bus we decided to use the washrooms at the Bez first and as we entered the lobby we were greeted with folks that had trays of goodies for everyone. After a bit of time spent parlaying with them we sat down in the lobby to eat our treasures. After a few bits of these delicious morsels I said to Diane I believe God has a purpose for us to be here, I can't wait to see what it is. Well, I then got up and headed to the washroom and didn't get ten steps and a man's voice hollered out Harold Stephan and when I turned to see who it was I was face to face with Tom from Kindersley along with his wife and another couple all very good friends from kindersley and yep you guessed it they wanted to be filled in on our lives and the ranch. We all used to attend church together and raised our families together, we laughed and cried and had such a good time. God is so good as He set's up appointments way beyond anything we can plan. They are planning to come out and visit the ranch in the next couple of weeks to see how they can help. As Diane and I blessed them with crosses they, as well as us felt and knew as we journey together lives are changed and as Tom said when we leave this old earth we will be at the right gate meeting the right one who loves us so much.

As we left Saskatoon we knew our day was a day walking with our Lord and we were in for a great ride home with lots to talk about, but then my phone rang and it was Jacob, he was waiting for us to get home to watch a movie with us and eat some of grandpa's popcorn. Does life get any better? We believe not. So as I am writing this Jacob asked me, "how did Terry Fox lose his leg? So I will say good night and deal with this.

The comment made was, "doesn't this whole thing scare you sometimes," and like the Bible says in Proverbs 14:26 and my answer would have to be yes. But,

"Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge." Our prayer is that we never let the fear of man stop the work of God. We can only imagine the many incidents that Noah and so many had to deal with in the Bible. Blaine once said, "Dad if you don't do exactly what God has called you to do, someday you might be riding your bike down the highway and some big semi is going to open up and swallow you, then what?", too often fear makes people do and say some stupid things I know I've done it many times, but when you don't listen to God, He'll just move to someone that will listen and do what He needs doin. He has gifted us all with so much but like the old saying goes, If you don't use it, you'll loose it. And I believe that there's not a lot of folks wanting to see God work these days cause that's a lot differant from the works of man. A gentleman and missionary in Powel River said to us we here in Canada don't need God any more we have our own system. That's scary.

Wednesday and wonderful

We now have our own mobile welding truck as last year Dick and Judy Serack donated a welding truck and just the other day we had a welder donated to the ranch to use and toady we got it all hooked up cables installed and we were welding, all I can say is our God is an awesome God.

We have had a building donated to the ranch a really big and nice building but it will cost a lot to move, Please pray for us that all will work out and the mover will do it for us.

Jake had a great time climbing on the bale stack just like his father and I did when we were his age. On top of a stack of bales or on top of the world at that age what is the difference. Come on out and relive the time. To bad that many miss the chance to enjoy God'd goodness and blessings.

As Blaine and I traveled in from the ranch late this evening we talked about how God is using us and what a privilege to be used of God in a way that is impacting lives not only here but every where.

Our lives need to count for something more than to live work and die.

We are all so unique and specially made by God that our lives should daily be waiting in anticipation of God's plan for each of us. But we do need to be ready and prepared cause,

1 Corinthians 2:9 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" you can believe this or not but it does come out of the world's best selling book.

Probably the most misunderstood situation ever to occur is that we each and every one of us has a history. A history that includes the goodness of a God a God that loved us so much that He gave His one and only son to take away the sin of the world, and he is waiting to take you back. Yet so many today choose or have in the past chosen to walk away and trust in what ever feels good at the moment, or trusting in them selves and their own strength or trust in nothing at all and then to wonder why there seems to be no hope. A life with out hope is like a motor cycle with out a battery and spark. It's a lot of work to push that bike every where, you look good with that bike beside you but the only way to look good is by a lot of work to push that bike every where. Why not put a battery in and and ride that machine the way it was made to be ridden and get places that it can get you. That's like our lives with out God, we try everything but never get any where, the brakes always seem to be on, that could also be called pride and ego and when God isn't invited into our lives we will never find the purpose we were created to be. With out knowing the purpose of a life, that life flounders like a boat lost at sea, tossed and thrown every where and goes into eternity never knowing what it's purpose was.

Right now if you feel lost and with out hope there is some one out there that will spend time with you and listen, some one that won't betray you or laugh at you, but will be a true friend a friend like you never knew before. You probably know who it is already but you have been afraid to take that step or make the call.

Intercessory prayer is something that God commands us to do. " Pray for each other." James 5:16 As missionaries, we depend upon the prayers of family and friends to get us through times of difficulty and to rejoice with us in praises!

James 5:16 (NIV)

¹⁶Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

PURPOSE

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for YOU,"declares the LORD,

plans to prosper YOU and

not to harm YOU,

plans to give YOU hope and a future.

Our Gracious Father,

Hear our prayer and teach Your church, and each of us, what is the glory, what is the blessing, what is the all prevailing power of intercession.
We pray that You will give us the vision of what intercession means to You, so that we might carry out Your blessed purpose - what it means to ourselves as the exercise of our royal priesthood, and what it will mean to Your church, and to perishing men, in the bringing down of the Spirit in power - for Jesus' sake.
Amen

Because you have a past

You can't go back, but He can. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8) He can walk into those places of sin, failure and hopelessness, wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning. A beginning with a real and lasting future, full of hope.

Because you need a friend

Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!

Because He holds the future

Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you ...plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)

LORD JESUS CHRIST

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask Your forgiveness and now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.
