What size is your heart?

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. (Mark 8:34, 35 NIV)

The cross was a cross of unselfish love, mercy, compassion and hope for a selfish, self centered world. Jesus calls his followers to pickup that cross and pour hope into a world so lost in desperation and survival in the false gods of drugs, alcohol, pornography and selfishness. 

We can talk it till we are blue in the face but till we live it, it will be a farce to a lost world. John Aldridge stated that the bigger our bank account gets often the smaller out heart for Jesus becomes. Hmmm interesting. How does the prosperity message fit that statement.
