Wednesday and God's shiftin into high

Just got home from the movie "courageous" ooh boy does that go deep. I guess I need to realize how blessed I am. Six incredible children living incredible lives. I guess I've always felt and know I could have done a whole lot better as a father. And yet in spite of me He blessed us.

My own father was very occupied with his life style and for the most part we had no mother. On the day of my fathers funeral a friend of my dad's took me aside and shared a bit of inside scoop about my father. He said that my father raised us on three basic principals and loved us very much, and that once I hear them I will recognize them.

#1- We would always have clean clothes to wear.

- a lady named Loretta came up and washed our clothes during the week.

#2- We would have one cooked meal a day.

#3- We would all know the Lord's prayer

A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed - and yet one of the most valuable - assets to our society.

From experience and from scripture we find that it is clear that the family destiny is determined by the father, the family head.

If society hopes to halt the tide of divorce and crime that is sweeping our land, strong and courageous men will have to provide their families the responsible leadership they need. God has ordained that the father is to be leader of his home. This leadership is not by might alone, but it is and must be centered in love, duty and honour.

Wallace Denton puts it right when he says: "The crux of the whole problem for men is not *Am I in charge of my family?* but rather *Am I in charge of my self?* For when a man is in charge of himself, he will be in charge of his family.

Fathers it's time to take charge!!

Though: Dad, be careful where and how you walk! Someone is following in your footsteps!!!

Ephesians 6:13-19 The armour of God - for you and me try it it works

Therefore we put on the full armour of God so that when the day of evil comes we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything to stand, we'll stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around our waists.

Lord we put on the belt of truth. We choose a life style of honesty and integrety. Show us the truths we so desperatley need today. Expose the lies we're not even aware that we are believing.

With the breastlate of righteousness in place. And yes Lord, we wear your righteousness today against all condemnation and corruption. Fit us with your Holiness and Purity, defend us from all assults against our hearts.

And with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. We do choose to live for the gospel at any moment. Show us were the larger story is unfolding and keep us from being so lax that we think the most important thing today is soap opera's of this world.

In addition to all this, we take up the shield of faith, with which we can exstingwish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Jesus we lift against every lie and every assult the confidence that you are good, and that you have good instore for us. Nothing is coming today that can overcome us because you are with us.

We take the helmet of salvation. Thank you Lord, for our salvation. We recieve it in a new and fresh way from you and we declare that nothing can seperate us now from the love of Christ and the place we shall ever have in your Kingdom.

And we take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Holy Spirit, show us specifically today the truths of the word of God that we will need to counter the assults and snares of the enemy. Bring them to mind throughout the day. And we pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, we'll be allert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Finally, Holy Spirit, we agree to walk in step with you in everything -- in all prayer as our spirits commune with you thoughout the day...

We also pray, that when ever we open our mouths, words may be given to us so that we will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen

The Battle River Ranch Camp is a one of a kind entry level trades and life skills opportunity facility. Offering an option to anyone that has been searching for an opportunity and is serious about finding out their area of strength and work place career possibilities.

Our hope and prayer is to let as many of you know about the ranch as possible so that the hope it will bring, the lives it will change and the encouragement it will provide can start as soon as possible.

The ranch will be a one of a kind facility and will offer an option to many like no other. When God has a plan and like our friends Mike and Pastor Lyle wisely told us just keep your focus and don't let the distractions pull you away from God's purpose.

The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive and positive life skill.

Many men and women today have no idea about their future or what they could be good at and to how find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based and mentor based training facility and our hope is with the help of anyone that has a heart for helping so many to give each person that comes to the ranch an opportunity to find the skills they were created for.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation.
