Monday and the excitement continues

We were able to spend time with family in Prince Albert hospital and was very positive what a blessing to have family to stand by. We also got to spend time with our friends Marvin and Maureen, we had a great visit and we are going to be sure to get together again soon. Marvin does a bit of photography and does it well. He has donated one of his framed photo's to the ranch for the lodge.

I lost my wallet in Price Albert and before I knew that it was even lost a lady phoned me to tell me she had it and were to pick it up. I thanked her and tried to bless her but she would have none of it. So we talked and I was able to tell her about the ranch and leave her an info pack and a promo vidieo. God is watching over us, you think.

The ranch would be lacking so much without the many volunteers and their hearts to push on and build for the future. Many have captured the vision of the necessity that giving an opportunity for so many young men and women has the potential of changing the atmosphere of a workplace so plagued with alcohol, drug abuse and lack of respect. The first of it's kind, a faith based trades and life skills facility will help to introduce the long forgotten life training mentor ship needed so that respect for self and others can be restored. I hear church folks saying "well what can you do it's the way it going to be, see the bible says so" or non church ed folks saying ooh it's not so bad and how can God make a difference anyway. Over and over again righteousness will prevail on and off the work place. The work place is drastically short of trades personnel and is growing shorted every day as the average age of trades personnel is getting older. We have seen average of approximately 8 out of 10 people attempt a trade that stay with it. University students, farmers, high school students, oil field workers, secretaries salespersonnel, and house wives, just ask our daughter who could thread pipe as fast as the boys. Learning about trades and life skills has and will have life long benefits.

The Battle River Ranch Camp is a one of a kind entry level trades and life skills opportunity facility. Offering an option to anyone that has been searching for an opportunity and is serious about finding out their area of strength and work place career possibilities.

Our hope and prayer is to let as many of you know about the ranch as possible so that the hope it will bring, the lives it will change and the encouragement it will provide can start as soon as possible.

The ranch will be a one of a kind facility and will offer an option to many like no other. When God has a plan and like our friends Mike and Pastor Lyle wisely told us just keep your focus and don't let the distractions pull you away from God's purpose.

The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive and positive life skill.

Many men and women today have no idea about their future or what they could be good at and to how find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based and mentor based training facility and our hope is with the help of anyone that has a heart for helping so many to give each person that comes to the ranch an opportunity to find the skills they were created for.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation.
