Saturday -staying close to the heart of Jesus

Super Saturday reminds me of a super girl. A girl that has put up with so much and gone through so much to take care of us all. I guess you all know that it's Diane, she just never stops believing in us all. Her strength keeps us all going and her love for God is so real to her and every one around her. I know most times she'd rather be doing other things than riding on the back of a cold or wet motorcycle, or heading to the ranch to make another delicious meal or set up weekend helpers but she always comes and does all that she can. Today she's helping to get supper ready for friends coming over for supper, that we will get another opportunity to share the ranch vision to and bless with a great supper. The other day we met with a group of men and women from a local organization that are working to build a stronger community for each of us. We were very well accepted and God used us in a mighty way to share His vision to our community. Often we lock our selves onto a boat and see nothing other than the safeway the comfortable way. We are so blessed and God has put so many good friends in our busy and hectic lives and we will always do our best to serve but there are times we just plain mess up. We love each and every one of you and need you as we all push on to the finish.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE JESUS CAME BACK

Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house. Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on shelves without care Believing that Jesus would never come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap. When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash! When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be The Day! The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! Returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of everyone saved. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said “It’s not here” my head hung in shame. The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound While all the rest were left standing alone. I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and this sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There’s only one life and when comes the last call We’ll find that the Bible was true after all!

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can.

This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation.

You are always welcome to visit and we look forward to your input. This ministry is prayer based, and we pray daily for the needs of others, if you have a need for prayer and not sure where to start give us a call and we will confidentially support and help you in this area. You may not know a lot about God but God knows everything about you and He loves you more than anyone can or ever will.
