The ranch was so blessed today with a ferrier that took care of all our animal's hooves and a manlift has been donated, and a payloader is being dropped off tomorrow for the summer. We are so overwhelmed with the blessings of God for the ranch.
The ranch project is a huge project and we are so blessed each and every day with what God is doing to provide for the needs that enables us to move ahead. I had a call from a young man the other day that is interested in the ranch as he saw one of our brochures some where and was interested a bit but when he went home to his parents house they gave him the whole info pack that we prepare and distribute to as many people as we everywhere we can. He called us to talk bait more about what we had to offer and to see if he would qualify to attend the ranch.
His life today is not what he wants it to be or what his parents wanted for him. You see he grew up in a Christian home, with all the trimmings and even attended bible school for a time. His hopes were to attend bible school for a while and them move into a job that would get him a trade some day with all the tickets need to live a life that he could support himself and most likely wife and family. Well as happens to so many young Christian men and women or even non Christian well meaning men and women they enter the workforce in the area of trades and are immediately bombarded with pure undiluted brutal lessons on the way they will have to live life in the fun and exciting lane of alcohol, foul language, and pornography, nightclubs and bars. All the requirements to be accepted and included as one of the team so you feel like everyone will do what you need to help you get a trade.
Well if you think I'm exaggerating you are dead wrong. With out a strong conviction and personal commitment to God, that includes a daily dose of time spent with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ in his word and a powerful prayer life, you are a target and your hunters have zero mercy about your life or your feelings.
We know of countless young men and women that entered the workforce and came out of strong Godly families and today their parents only wonder what ever happened to the youth leader and missionary plans that seemed to be all their child once talked about and made them so proud and honoured the Lord in all their lives. Well at least they are making good money now and well it could be worse.
Today more then ever we see a tide or maybe I should say a sonomie of our youth exiting the path of following Jesus and choosing to follow the world at it's best.
Most have chosen the path of easiest resistance due to lack of confidence and commitment that each of them needs to stay strong in to days society and trend of destroying the very foundation that built this once proud and Godly country that we live in today.
The Battle River Ranch Camp as it is so well named knows the battle that rages for the very soul of our young adults. This nation will fall to the strength that prevails if we don't give our young adults the tools and confidence they need to move into the workforce as decibels and warriors for the Lord.
I hear it over and over again you know Harold it's ultimately in God's hands and he will prevail. So dose that mean we sit back and build up a cushy nest egg for our self security and then stand back and watch as our young adults go down under the tide of secularism and free will.
The ranch is a first of it's kind in Canada because it is faith based not because of the trades training, their are many and more all the time facilities that will help anyone to find the trade that you best are suited for. But The battle River Ranch Camp is the first faith based life skills introductory training facility in Canada.
Many have done so much with the gifts God has instilled in all of us and we continue to do so and with the support of the many donors to this facility it has come to an unbelievable stage in a short amount of time, PTL. To complete the project so we can be reedy for our first trainees on September 5 / 2011 we need your help. Once up and running we hope to be as self supporting as possible for the daily expenses and continue to raise funds for capital and major building projects. This is and will always be a place that will instill the confidence and strength that our young men and women are looking for and need to carry them out into the mission field of todays work arena. Please consider the future of so many right here at home that need the opportunity to stay the path with confidence.
Oh ya the young fellow that call me knows he has a ways to go, but says he will do what he can to qualify and come to the ranch some day.
The Battle River Ranch Camp is a one of a kind entry level trades and life skills development center. Offering an option to anyone that has been searching for an opportunity to find out their area of strength and work place career possibilities.
Our hope and prayer is to let as many of you know about the ranch as possible so that the hope it will bring and the lives it will change and the encouragement it will provide can start as soon as possible. The ranch will be a one of a kind facility and will offer an option to many like no other.
When God has a plan and like our friend Mike and Pastor Lyle wisely told us just keep your focus and don't let the distractions pull you away from God's purpose. Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center and our hope is to give each person that comes to the ranch an opportunity to find the skill they were created for.
Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.
We need your help and would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can. Even if you could help with a small one time donation or a larger one it would help so much to bring this life changing facility and place of hope to be opened by this fall.
This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation.

while we are here on this earth but very few know about the option we have available to us
