Wednesday 's blessings and blessings....

No wind this morning and we got the last of the ladders up on the roof. We even got started on the roof sheeting and all is going so well. Last week we needed more equipment to move ahead with the lodge and as always God is so good and everything and more has been provided to get the backfilling done and the walls and roof sheeted. We needed to bring the horses down from the west pasture to the east one by the corral for tomorrow as John from action Towing has a friend that will trim and inspect the the horses hooves.

We needed to pickup some weeping tile and James thought it made for a nice hat, maybe a bit of over kill. Larry got all the weeping tile rock hauled around the basement two pails at a time and never a word of complaining as it had to have been one of the hardest jobs that needed to be done and Larry got her done. PTL.

We were blessed this evening with a ride with some friends to Vermillion for supper, the evening started out a bit dark but soon turned into a great evening for a ride, the air was filled with the smell of fresh rain and pine trees. We did ride past a farm that had a bit of a shig pit smell but not bad.

All in all we wind down another full and exciting day of living a blessed life walking with the King of King and Lord of Lords JESUS.

A Look at Daniel

Daniel (remember- the guy in the lion's den?) He knew how to really listen to God throughout the day. Daniel 6:10 says: "But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God."

Three times a day, Daniel paused to pray and give thanks to God. He was focused on God and listening; that's what a Bible devotion is designed to help us do. They're short, concise and don't take long to read, but they give us a thoughts that will carry us through the day with our focus on God.

Now, in Daniel 9:2: "During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, was studying the writings of the prophets. I learned from the word of the LORD, as recorded by Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years."

What was he doing? Studying the writings of the prophets? That would be the Bible, right? Yes, Daniel also did some serious Bible study. We can't just live on snacks all the time. We need to take time to sit down and enjoy a full meal too.

God was able to do amazing things in the life of Daniel. Much of it was because Daniel was willing to seek God's face and take time to listen to His will. Daniel kept his focus on the eternal through the word of God on a regular basis.

Father, please help me to be like Daniel and seek your face daily. Help me to learn to hear your voice even above the "noise" of the busyness of life and see what's really important. Thank you that You walk with me each and every day and have rescued me from the lion's den.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view our blog. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that would help you or someone that you know, or you would like to be more involved with a ministry like this or support it financially we would love to talk to you and would very much appreciate your help in what ever way you can.

This is a ministry for those that have a heart and desire to make a difference in the lives of others with the skills and gifts they have been blessed with and have a desire to pass on what they know to the next generation.

You are always welcome to visit and we look forward to your input. This ministry is prayer based, and we pray daily for the needs of others, if you have a need for prayer and not sure where to start give us a call and we will confidentially support and help you in this area. You may not know a lot about God but God knows everything about you and He loves you more than anyone can or ever will.
