Saturday -Just going with the heart of Jesus

The numbers game was a great hit today and lots of laughs.

Helping others brings good feelings to the giver and the reciever of the good deeds. Using your special gifts to help others can be a gift to yourself as you enjoy a self esteem boost for making others’ lives better, and make the world a better place. You feel more worthy of good deeds yourself, your trust in the decency of people is reinforced, and you feel more connected to yourself and to others. In fact, research shows that those who demonstrate more altruistic social interest tend to enjoy higher levels of mental health, above and beyond the practical benefits of receiving help and other known psychospiritual, stress, and demographic factors that you would expect.

Creating a balanced lifestyle that includes service to others can help you feel less stress as well, as you feel more connected to God, more grateful for what you have, and less invested in the ‘rat race’ that causes stress for so many of us. The following articles can give you ideas and resources for how to create a life that includes more helping others.

Friday and away we go again with hearts for the Kings work

Great first day at mission fest more and more ministries are becoming aware of what the Ranch has to offer. We met a lot of old friends updated the ranch info to them all. Our booth was kept busy with many young and old doing bible verses to Dawn Brigitte, Barry and I to earn a cross.

Open the gates,that the righteous nation that keeps the truth may enter in. You will keep him in perfect peace,whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:2-3

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119.105 KJV.

Father God we thank You for the plans You have prepared for us. We thank You for Your Word and promises which we can stand on and be confident of. We thank You for men & women of integrity who work diligently to make a difference here on earth, being Your hands & feet.

We come before You this week praying for Mission Fest being held in Edmonton, AB. We give thanks for Your presence and Your hand that will guide the meetings and presentations. We give thanks for the clarity in which You speak to them so they can bring forth ideas & plans for the future of your Kingdom, thank you for travel mercies and give thanks in advance, for the return travel, health, energy, and a hedge of protection around your faithful as well as their families.We place our confidence in You, Lord.

In your precious Holy name, Christ Jesus, we pray.Amen

If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him,because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 3:21-22

Miracle of the day is the phone call that we have been waiting for for years and today we have been blessed with our own charitable tax number.

Think About What You Think About (1) ''What I feared has come upon me...' ' Job 3:25 Nick was a tough guy with a bad outlook. He worked on the railways. One night after all his fellow workers had gone home he accidentally locked himself in a refrigerated carriage. Worried that the temperature was below freezing, he yelled for help, but to no avail. The more he thought about his situation the colder he felt, until eventually he started shivering uncontrollably. Convinced he was dying, he wrote a letter to his family outlining what had happened. The next morning they found Nick's body. An autopsy revealed that he had indeed frozen to death. But the investigators discovered something puzzling. The carriage in which Nick was trapped was out of order and had been disconnected. The night he froze to death the temperature in the boxcar was 16.1 degrees, just below room temperature. But because he expected to die, he lost the battle in his mind. What you believe about your life is more important than what anyone else believes. Job said, 'What I feared has come upon me.' Be careful what you anticipate; negative expectations become self-fulfilling prophecies. God has promised to help you, but you get the deciding vote. By focusing on the negative you're agreeing to let satan defeat you. Jesus said, '..."According to your faith will it be done for you"' (Matthew 9:29 NIV). Another translation puts it like this: '..."Become what you believe"...' (TM). So get into agreement with God's Word and focus on His promises instead of your problems. When you do, your faith will take you to new levels of victory. But it's up to you to take the first step! The word for you today.

O God, in the beginning You brought together man and woman in marriage that they might share Your work of creation and bring enriching life to one another. We commend to Your constant care the homes where Your people dwell. Knit together in growing affection those who have been made one flesh so that their love and marriages may never fail. Wednesday 's blessings how beautiful

Potato egg breakfast always a favorite in this family. 3 dozen eggs and they were full, good thing we were out of eggs. So simple Rance Balls recipe, grate up potatoes, onions add garlic salt and pepper, mix and drop in pan of oil till golden brown, drop on a couple of eggs and you have a meal fit for a king. There are a couple of more little tricks but you will have to call for those.

More lumber arrived at the ranch today hopefully enough to keep Larry and James busy for another couple of days. The lumber yard asked how many guy's you got working out there. Most times only two, but when you got the best men, keepin up with supplies is a full time job. Thanks to the Lord for His provision, safety and direction.

We were so blessed as we spent time the evening with Dorothy, she is one of our strongest prayer warriors and the ranch moves on with God's provision, speed and safety as our prayer warriors hold us up in prayer daily. Thank you so much Dorothy.

The comment made was doesn't this whole thing scare you sometimes, and like bible says in Proverbs 14:26

Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge. Our only fear out at the ranch is, heaven forbid, we ever let the fear of man stop the work of God. We can only imagine the many incidents that Noah and so many had to deal with in the bible. Blaine once said Dad if you don't do exactly what God has called you to do, someday you might be riding your bike down the highway and some big semi is going to open up and swallow you, then what? Listening to fear makes people do and say some stupid things I know I've done it many times, but when you don't listening to God, He'll just move to someone that will listen and do what He needs doin. He has gifted us all with so much but like the old saying goes, If you don't use it, you'll loose it.

Our hope and prayer is to let as many of you know about the ranch as possible so that the hope it will bring and the lives it will change and the encouragement it will provide can start as soon as possible. The ranch will be a one of a kind facility and will offer an option to many like no other.

When God has a plan and like our friend Mike and Pastor Lyle wisely told us just keep your focus and don't let the distractions pull you away from God's purpose. The Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades, life skills and training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it difficult to get the opportunities needed to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center and our hope is to give each person that comes to the ranch an opportunity to find the skill they were created for.

Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and bad choices. Their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. If it were not for caring people in their lives that never gave up on them or thought they were a hopeless cause they too would still be lost.

Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you ...plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)

Tuesday remembers that what ever happens to the least of us will affect the rest of us

Huge day for ranch support as PWM steel phoned with steel I beams for the ranch lodge. JC inspections will pick the I beams up and bring them out to the ranch then set them into place with their picker tomorrow. Huge load of supplies from Tracey and Titan tools and more to come as soon as we can pick it up. Rienhart properties also called today as they have materials for the ranch. We have been so blessed with good to new supplies and we need it all as it helps so much to move ahead on the ranch project and keep the expenses down to a minimum. P.T.L.

So many of you are not able to get out to the ranch as often as you would like or not at all. Many have called to ask what they can do to help. The biggest need we have at the ranch is that each and every one of you would continue to pray for us as we have a huge project that we have going here at the ranch and God has blessed us with His protection, provision and safety as we move steadily ahead on all area's of construction. As we see daily supplies arrive to bless the ranch project and people and businesses to help in what ever way they can. We still need the financial support that we hope and pray our family and friends will help us with. This is a 100% Canadian Ministry reaching out to 100% Canadian men and women youth that simply need an opportunity to develop a skill, and hopefully one they are gifted at to enable them to be productive and positive assets to themselves and society. Monday Can't Beat That Day

Family day at the ranch as I was blessed with two of our grandsons helping me with the chores out at the ranch. All went well and we are set up to pick up and be blessed with a lot of materials from Tracey for the ranch first thing in the morning.
