Tuesday's Trivia

I'll try this trivia bit again by starting with the trivia and then put the answer at the bottom of Blog.
-How much silk can a spider make in an hour?
Check Spelling
Bright and early up and attar, we had to meet the accountant to go over a few last minute details with the charity number application. All went well, especially after Diane, the editing guro was done with it all. Nancy was very happy and felt that all was ready to go.
Then off to Staples to pick up some supplies and a well needed
visit to Princess Auto for a tour of all the new items and check out what was for sale this week. And did I hit the jack pot-potato egg fryng pans, cast iron, the best kind and the exact size of a double egg potato egg. Man Terry, just think! So don't forget next time you come for a visit to remind me to make them or maybe we can just bring them with us when we come next time. After walking out of Princess Auto, I headed back to my car and all my excitement over the fryng pans were dashed as a man eating chiwawa was in the vehicle next to mine. It has taken the better part of the day to get over that experience. I'm going to have a whale of a time getting that image out of my head, probably have a nightmare tonight and all.
Stopped at Nelson Lumber to replace a damaged level and then Diane, the gang and I all had lunch and off we were to Manitou Bible camp for a visit with Fred and his staff to fill them in on all the news about the ranch. Fred let us do a complete presentation, DVD and all and we definately will be working together as we seek to do the will of God in helping those that need a hand up.
Today as I was in Staples I met Chuck Taylor and did we have a conversation. This guy is a wellspring of wisdom. He had heard of the ranch and he said that so many people think they have to pass on money to their children. Then he said that it's been proven that money will only last one generation, but that wisdom and compassion taught to our children by our example will carry on to the 2nd and third generation. So when you invest into a ministry that teaches these important life skills, it's a sure deal that you are investing in the positive future of your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We believe that wisdom and compassion is the heart to pass on what we have learned to those that are following each of us.
He also said that there are those that are comfortable in their misery and don't want to change, they will even try to drag others into their misery so they are not alone. Or try to stop a good and exciting new idea because it might mean change or they fear the unknown and so just leave things the way they are. I'm reading this great book called, "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. In it he says that he believes God wants us to love others so much that we go to extremes to help them. WOW go figure. He believes that God wants us to be known for giving ---- of our time, our money, and our abilities and maybe it will syart a movement of GIVING and in so doing we can alleviate the suffering in the world. He's been told he's crazy but he say's he can't imagine devoting his life to a greater vision.

Psalm 19:1-4 (New International Version)

Psalm 19

For the director of music. A psalm of David.
"1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard. a]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[a]

4 Their voice b]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun"

Trivia answer 60 ft. per hour of silk. There you go, get a pet spider and no more buying silk and you will save money for your grandkids.
