Sunday Sonshine

Summer is coming to an end and the church today was starting to feel and look a bit more full as everyone is pretty much done with holidays and summer get aways.
Mike had a big hug for us as he and Darlene have moved on to quieter pastures but he will stay in touch and always be available if we need him with the ranch project.
Our guest speaker at church today was a 68 year old pastor from California and he is on a peddle bike trip from Anchorage Alaska to Florida Keys. His message is clear that the Spirit of God is in our hands to carry and share as we seek to be
united and one with Christ.

Uncle Vic blessed us with his presence and along with that we spent a super afternoon visiting friends and neighbours and ate a way too much ice cream.

Our kids all went to the races in Provost today and James and Joey raced their motor cycles.

WIN YOUR CHILDREN FOR CHRIST

"All your sons (and daughters) will be taught by the Lord;
And the well- being of your sons will be great." Isaiah 54:13

In the early 1800s, the Swiss educator Johann Pestalozzi wrote, "The best way for a child to learn about God is to know a real Christian. The best way for them to discover the power of prayer is to live with parents who pray." Did you know that statistically 85% of all children raised this way develop a strong personal faith in Christ before they're thirteen?
At this point some questions arise, like:
(1) "Am I responsible for my child's choices?" Ultimately, no; potentially, yes! If you want to determine the spiritual health of your family, first check your own heart, vision, hearing and appetites.
(2) "But my kids are already grown; isn't it too late?" No, God's name is "Redeemer." He can give you another chance. Repent and commit your life to Christ; that's how generational cycles of failure are broken and God is brought back into the picture.
(3) "But what if I'm afraid to bring a child into this evil world?" That's the whole point; it's children of the light who push back the darkness. Instead of reacting out of fear or selfishness, win your family to Christ and use them to impact the world.
"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith" (Heb. 11:7 NIV).
(4) "But how can I compete with the negative influences around me?" Every study confirms that you, the parent, have the greatest influence - greater than friends, school or media - in determining the character and direction of your child. WOW go figure. Now do the right thing it's never ever too late.

SUNDAY'S PRAYER

Everyone has a free choice to live a life of "sin," or to live a life of grace, in the Salvation of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. People may have made wrong choices in their lives, but that doesn't mean that they have to remain living in those wrong choices. Jesus is always there reaching out to us with all of His love. It is "our choice" to "accept Him into our lives" or not.
If you haven't yet gotten down and humbly asked the Lord into your life then you need to. If your pride is holding you back, let it go now. You don't need pride keeping you from Heaven. Please know that no matter what you may have done, it is never too late to clean up and clear up the past. It doesn't matter what sins you have committed in your life, God is a good God who loves you more than you will ever know. Yes it is really true, Jesus does "love" you with His whole heart. If you have never said the Salvation prayer or you just feel that you need to, say it now with your whole heart.

"Salvation Prayer"

Lord Jesus, I’ve been a sinner for as long as I can remember. I never knew the joy that I could have by accepting you into my life. I know that you hear my prayers. I need you to be my Savior. You have always been there loving me, through everything in my life.
Forgive me for all of my sins. I am so sorry for the way I have acted, and the way that I have behaved towards you and others. You died on the cross for me. You loved me that much, how can I ever thank you enough for loving me like that.
Forgive me for all of the things that I have done. Please come into my life to wash away all of my sins. I desire eternal life with you. Be my Savior and Lord of all my life. I want to be in Heaven with you for eternity and feel your love. I worship you and thank you Jesus, with every bit of gratitude and love that I can feel towards you. I love you Lord Jesus, with all of my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I want to share in your joy if you have just said this prayer sincerely from your heart. The angels are rejoicing with you right now. Email me and share with me your joy.
