Wednesday

Devotions at the ranch each morning are a time of seeking understanding and direction for our day. There's always question and as a group we seek God's wisdom on them. It seems we can justify just about anything and why not the Isrealites did it all the time. And that seems to be the way most people survive. We justify what church we choose to attend or what political party we support. We justify the version of bible we read, or weather we should touch alcohol or not. How about the odd swear word or even better the swear word substitutes, and you can hear them at any church function or in public.

I can just imagine God will open the big book and as he checks the list I don't think he has an approval area for justifying the way we think we can operate or the way we can pretend not to be swearing.

I remember someone once sharing with me about how they couldn't figure out why they were not being blessed and they had a pile of books by some very good authors in front of us to tell how to be blessed, but the Bible was no where insight.

A friend of ours many years ago said to us that I'm a good person and I do my best to help others and what I do with my life and the way I choose to live it is totally up to me and no one else's business. He's very right and that is his choice to make. But as our aunt and us were sitting having breakfast this morning, we thought about the real fact that there are so many people out in the world around us that don't know or have never been told that Hell is real place but we all have a choice that can be made and like the criminal on the cross next to Jesus with only a few moments left to live cried out to The Hope for all mankind Jesus and said would you remember me when you come into your kingdom? Jesus replied today you will be with me in paradise. Like our friend Doug once told us we have the responsibility of letting everyone know that there is hope even in those last few moments of life we can call out and Jesus will be there for you.

Oh Ya we got two more hydrants in and the water main is past the barn and now is on it's way to the shop.

Luke 23:43 (New International Version)

43Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

WHY WE PRAY AND HOPE THAT
YOU WILL GIVE JESUS A CHANCE
#1
Because you have a past
You can't go back, but He can. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8) He can walk into those places of sin, failure and hopelessness, wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning. A beginning with a real and lasting future, full of hope.
#2
Because you need a friend
Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!
#3
Because He holds the future
Who else are you going to trust? In his hands you are safe and secure - today, tomorrow and for eternity. His word says, "For I know the plans I have for you ...plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen". (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB)

If you'd like to start over, with a new beginning with Jesus today, Diane, I, the board of directors, volunteers and supporters of Crossman Ministries and the Battle River Ranch Camp would ask you, if you are looking for a new beginning to please pray this prayer:

LORD JESUS CHRIST
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I ask Your forgiveness and now turn from everything that I know is wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me to set me free from my sins. Please come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.

If you have made this commitment and would like to make contact, please call us. We'd love to talk to you and help in any way we can.

We are praying for all of you reading the blog every day.
