Tuesday's trivia

When we look at the earth from the space station it's hard to believe the incredible gift God has given us called earth. It's the most beautiful planet known and the potential is endless, and yet we take it for granted. I believe God looks at us the same way, he made each of us in His image with potential that is beyond our own imaginations. Yet we take it for granted and do all we can to eliminate God from the picture so we can try and prove that we don't need Him and we are better off on our own. Take a few minutes and look at your past, what have you done that has made any difference or improved the world that you live in. Then look ahead, does the future look like something you can't wait to be a part of, or do you see more of the same old, same old. Then come back to today and in most cases you hold the keys to the future right in your own hands but often we are too stuck in our familiar ways and we let fear keep us from doing what's right.

"I do not think the greatest threat to our future is from bombs, or guided missiles. I don’t think our civilization will die that way. I think it will die when we no longer care for the needs of those around us; when the spiritual forces that make us wish to be right and noble die in the hearts of men. Nineteen notable civilizations have died from within, and not been conquered from without. It happened slowly, in the quiet and dark in the heart and souls of men, when no one was aware."

Taken from: Our Greatest Threat....................................Laurence K Gould.

Diane and I had a busy but productive day today. Elisa and the kids helped us make invitations for the breakfast on Feb. 18 . We did our deliveries, finished up some paper work and headed for Dodsland to help out our kids with the arrival of the new baby that has chosen to be overdue. Just like with the first three we are all on pins and needles. Back home Blaine has 2 Awana cars ready for the big race coming up, James is busy trying to get his truck together, Joey needs a transmission in his and Mike would like to find a good older truck. Victory is in Graduation and school after grad mode, so all in all the Stephans are operating under normal conditions. Everyone is excited that this spring we will start building and operating, The Battle River Ranch Camp.

Q. What kind of man was Boaz before he married Ruth?
A. Ruthless.
