Wednesday Report

Don't ever choose the life of a Christian or even call yourself a Christian if you say you aren't into a lot of excitment in your life. Because Jesus wasn't kidding when he said,"He came to give us life and a more abundant life." We had a full day of meetings today, more discussions with Merv about how we can raise some funds to get the ranch off the ground in April. And then over to the Salvation Army Church and a great presentation and reception from Pastor Kim, she was able to provide us with some more connections that she will get back to us with. Now she is one who is very much in agreement that as Christians we have exciting lives and we need to pass that on to everyone we meet! Then we rushed over to the Ukranian Catholic church and had another super talk and full presentation with Father Bo. He had many good questions and we had a great time sharing what the Ranch can mean for Lloydminster and the area. P.T.L. Diane and I had but a few minutes to get a few groceries and then another meeting with Ken Fast at Verses. Ken is a man that has been all over the world with his ministry and we can't believe he takes the time he does to help us with our little project and we are so thankful for that. Always good to glean the wisdom from those who have gone ahead of us.
Now the only way to end a fast paced day like that is with a little Elvis. So Ben, the young man that works with us and is learning to be a great plumber asked me to go with him to Rory Allen the Elvis impersonator and was he ever good. The place was packed and this is the Vic Juba arts center but the best part of the evening and a total surprise to us and probably most people there came as he closed down and said his thank you's by first saying that he would like to thank his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the opportunity to do this. WOW go figure. Those Christians they seem to be everywhere.
Diane and I are also praying for the national board meetings going on in Ontario for the Christian Heritage Party, and that we wish we were at, but we hope and pray all goes well.
Also, here's a sample of our new newsletter thanks to Blaine and Elisa.
Judges 6:15 "But Lord," Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."
Manasseh was the smallest of the 12 tribes. Gideon was saying he was the worst person in all of Israel to be chosen for the task of saving Israel. How did the Lord respond to Gideon's excuse?
Judges 6:16 "The Lord answered, I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Mideanites together."
That's all we need to know, in everything God asks us to do, He will be with us and what more could we need? If God is for us who can be against us?
This was taken from the BIBLE LEAGUE DEVOTIONAL DAY PLANNER.
So don't be afraid, you are not alone!
