Thursday the day of change

God spoke to Joshua and said, "Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them" (Joshua 1:2). After wandering with the murmuring nation of Israel for forty years, Joshua is given the extraordinary challenge of leading Israel into the Jordan and across to the promised land. Following Israel’s defeat by Ai, Joshua demonstrated an ordinary lack of trust as he stated, "O Lord God, wherefore hast Thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand fo the Amorites, to destry us?" (Joshua 7:7). God calms the ordinary fear of Joshua by saying, "Fear not, neither be thou dismayed; take all the people of war with thee, and arise and go up to Ai; see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai" (Joshua 8:1). May we be encouraged to accept great challenges as ordinary people striving to do extraordinary things.

Myself I think we are extraordinary people as there is no end to the opportunities that each of us has to follow God's leading as we build the Kingdom of God. Building the Kingdom of God with our lives is like building a house. Each of us has got to build the foundation with in us first, and that comes from allowing God to pour into every part of us His healing Love, cause as we all know we can try all sorts of ways to fill ourselves, but unless it's God's love we will always come up short and disappointed. Now that we have dug out the foundation and cleaned out the hole we need to quickly build the solid concrete base of our foundation and rock solid walls to keep out all the weight of the dirt around that is constantly trying to push it's way into our lives and homes. Now as we continue to seek first the Kingdom of God and by opening the gift package that God has put before us often also called a tool box and supply bins and with all our efford we will find every tool and piece of building materials we need to continue to build our home on the solid foundation. Once the home is complete we need to fill it with hope so that every one that enters will be immersed in the hope of our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some may wonder how is this possible, well the blueprint is probably sitting on your coffee table or high on a shelf some where. And a building project of any sort needs the blueprints open and studied every day and every step of the way. Every home we have ever built and followed the directions and prints completely we seem to get the best results. I have seen homes and lives started years ago and to this day they still are unfinished some are not even livable to this day. Well what I guess I'm trying to say is that if we are going to build this ranch I think we better follow the blue prints or we will probably have a real mess. It's also great to know that a friend of ours and a great man of God is doing the blue prints for us.P.T.L.
We do need all the help we can get this summer so book your holidays and come ranching to build the Kingdom of God. If you forget your tools it's ok we have some.

Harold and Diane do care
Thank you for taking the time to view our blog. Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades and life skills, training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it hard to get the opportunity to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center. Harold and Diane Stephan left lives filled with addictions and regrets, see how their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and now live recovered lives through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that you would like to be more involved with or support financially we would love to talk to you.
