Taking time to listen to the young people in our lives can really make you think. This young fellow that shared with me today said that it seems like every one sets out to build secure lives and that most don't really need to rely on God at all. He said every one talks about God and goes to church and do all the church stuff but are they really doing what God needs them to do and are they relying on God for every thing or even anything. Wow how do you answer him there. Great meeting this evening to do final prep. for the Jesse Moffat fund raiser.
Moses was asked by God to appear before Pharaoh and demand that he let the people of God leave Egypt. As Moses contemplated this extraordinary challenge he demonstrated his ordinary character as he made the following excuses: But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"10 Moses said to the LORD, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue."11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."13 But Moses said, "O Lord, please send someone else to do it." NIV
May we be encouraged to accept great challenges as ordinary people striving to do extraordinary things as we build the kingdom of God. Well finally the time has come to ask the big question and that is we need help at the ranch. If any one is able to help we hope to be moving ahead full steam with in two weeks. We need help with setting up forms and preparing for concrete. Digging in water lines from well to shop, Planting trees, Roto tilling the ground for the trees. Fixing and putting up fence for horses. If you have any skills and can help in any way please give us a call.
