We were able to sleep in a bit today, it was nice not to have to get going too early, but we left the base at 10:15 and headed back to Jim's place. Then we got to go to an event called 10 thousand villages where there were crafts and organic teas and coffees from all over the world. We headed into Halifax for the rest of the day to see the waterfront and harbour. Diane and I also stopped at Pier 21 and took a look around. Pier 21 is where my mom came to when she first came to Canada and everyone that came through pier 21 is registered and you can get a copy of their papers and a picture of the ship they came over on. It has to be her or our brother Erwin that has to ask for it, so we got the papers that he needs to fill out and get back to them. We then had a nice supper at a restaurant called Salties and we had the supper that Barry and Brigett got for us. Thanks guys it was wonderful! Wish you could have been here also. We needed to head home as we are speaking at Lynett Anderson's church tomorrow. We only have 7 min. but God can do a lot in that time so please pray I am listening for His leading. Had a few games of crokinole with Fran and Peter and now need to finish this and get some sleep.
Hope you have a great Sunday worshiping the Lord and taking a day to rest and rejuvenate yourselves.
Hey my brother! Praying for you out here... haven't had a chance to comment much but watching closely! My grandma came through Pier 21 on a ship that was converted from a cargo ship to a military supply ship, when they came over, the ship had delivered to Britian, and coming back they would take the warbrides and such. Our family has a link to Pier 21 as well. Blessings Brother, God is making your paths straight. Moose
