Fridays Frenzy

Well we finally made it out to the ranch today with the load of lumber on the trailer. Glenda met us with the tractor and we got it all unloaded safe and sound. Today we also did some measurement checks on building locations and all still seems to be in place. Back to the city and met with Melissa to go over the plans for the barn and did some finishing on the site plan. We then met with Gary and Diane for supper and Gary explained how to build grade beam forms and said that he has a template at his place that we can borrow, so tomorrow we'll head out and pick that up from him. We had a great Email from an author last night that would like to use the ranch miracle in a book she's writing. It's amazing how God works as this same lady did an interview with us over 10 years ago about the semi ministry and included us in a book she was writing then. Now she would like to put us into her next book with the ranch ministry. Wow! God just keeps on blessing us as we keep our focus on building His Kingdom. A mechanic friend of ours stopped at the house with a SRT 10 Dodge pickup (viper engine and all) well the boys had a whale of a time looking at this baby.

2 Corinthians 1:2 (New International Version)

2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near him. The driver got out and said, 'I always park there! You took my place!'

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, 'That's my seat! You took my place!' The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday school, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, 'That's where I always sit! You took my place!'

The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, 'What happened to you?'

The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place."'

Thank you for taking the time to view our blog. Battle River Ranch Camp is a non profit organization that is focused on developing trades and life skills, training opportunities for men and women that are searching and find it hard to get the opportunity to develop a productive life skill. Many men and women today have no idea what they could be good at or how to find out their possible skill area or level. We are a faith based training center. Harold and Diane Stephan left a life filled with addictions and their journey has taken them through different twelve step programs and life recovery through a relationship and healing process with Jesus Christ. We would love to hear from you and if you feel this is a program and facility that you would like to be more involved with or support financially we would love to talk to you.
