Thursday the day of change

A day of change could be any day. I remember visiting our dad in a seniors home years ago and that he had nothing to do. So we went home and built a box full of wood that we put in specially cut pieces in the shape of small blocks and beams, then we got him a small miter box and a small hand saw. When we showed up with all the stuff he looked at us and said what in the world do want me to do with that stuff. But when we returned several weeks later he was building all sorts of neat buildings and giving them away as gifts. In time he was building other neat things, he would build holders for pencils and pens and wagons with horses pulling them. Even the news paper came over to do an interview about his hobbies and all he was doing for others. Our dad went from not having a hobbie or knowing that he had any skills that would bless others, to always out of time. He often worked well into the night and got into a lot of trouble for the smell of glues and noise from his tools coming out of his room.
Or spending a few hours with a 14 year old kid at camp that couldn't stay out of trouble, teaching him a few things about plumbing and then 8 years later we run into him in the city and he has a big hug for us and thanks me for showing how to do plumbing cause in a few months he will have his journeyman plumbers papers.
Or helping a hard working farm girl to get her learners license to drive a semi tractor when others thought she couldn't do it, and today she is a natural driver that is logging many hours along side of her crazy husband all across North America. We are so proud of you Chris. drive safely wherever you guys are.
How true it is that when we pass on to others the blessing he gives us we are blessed right back with even more. What a shame for those that hold on to everything for themselves and then one day find they have nothing.
What a blessing to have Rod Taylor our deputy leader of the national CHP stop in and spend a few days and share with friends about the CHP.

Romans 8 : 28 NIV
"We are More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
