So God did so many neat things as He prepared us to do this ministry. We started to work at the camp our children had gone to for years and eventually became the directors. We would work at camp for a month, taking the semi which was now equipped with two climbing walls and a stage which we used for the worship band and also to do dramas and outreach. After five years of operating this ministry with the semi in Saskatchewan and Alberta, our two oldest children decided to get married and start their own lives. So, a Lutheran church in Idaho took over the ministry with the semi and continue to this day to run that rig across southern Idaho doing the same as we did in communities. We miss the semi and are thankful to every one that helped us to put it together and keep it on the road.
Just a few things we remember how a friend of ours paid to have the murals painted on the side of the trailer, and when the highway traffic officer pulled us over and told us we could go no further until we replaced 3 worn out tires. Then when we pulled into a tire shop in Sakatoon to see if we could get three used tires, the first tire shop we came to, The own
er came out to look at what we needed. We told him we needed three used tires, to get us going and that we only had three hundred dollars to spend, could eh help us?
I loved that Semi!! I miss climbing.
